LIBERAL LIES TO MISLEAD AMERICA - GET TRUE NEWS

If you watch FOX News you aren't getting true news!

This is one of the most heinous lies told by Liberals today. Their own Liberal Media refuse to allow both sides of any story they report while FOX News allows Liberals like Juan Williams, Allen Colmes and well known Liberals to set forth their 'spin' on truths and allows its audience to make a decision. No brow beating, no cold chills running down legs, just honest and straight forward news.

Watch FOX News and you will hear about news that the mainstrean media flatly refuses to report! WMDs in the U.S.A. via San Diego, just for one example.

The fear of America learning truth through honest reporting has Liberals shaking in their proverbial boots.

Watch MSNBC and see such politicians as Charles Rangel and Al Sharpton give the most Liberal spin to their statements as the news anchors fall all over themselves in their rush to agree with the most outrageous BS imaginable. It is as if their giving credence to any wild tale of imagination makes the statement true!

In a word...'DISGUSTING!'

THE BUDGET MURT BE BROUGHT UNDER CONTROL WITH NO SPENDING

How would you cut the US budget? How much of a budget crisis is the US in?

OBAMA MUST THINK AMERICANS ARE STUPID! HIS CUTS ACT TO VOID THE RECENTLY ENACTED BUSH TAX EXTENSION!

WASHINGTON – Republicans on Tuesday disparaged President Barack Obama's proposed $3.7 trillion budget for next year for taking a pass on tackling long-term deficits by not calling for structural changes in big-ticket entitlement programs for the elderly.
"In our nation's most pressing fiscal challenges, the president has abdicated his leadership role," said House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan, R-Wis. "When his own commission put forward a set of fundamental entitlement and tax reforms ... he ignored them."
Obama told a news conference that the budget he sent Congress will help meet his goal of cutting the deficit in half by the end of his first term. He said he looked forward to negotiations with Republicans in coming months on how to fix Social Security and Medicare.

Changing Congress' Culture of Spending

RSC Update: Changing Congress’ Culture of Spending

From the Chairman
Conservatives are beginning to change the culture of spending in Congress, but President Obama still hasn’t gotten the message. While Americans are looking for Washington to get out of the way, the budget the President unveiled today imposes a $1.6 trillion tax hike on families and employers over the next ten years while sending the national debt over $26 trillion – dangerous ground for our economy.

Prosperity does not spring from government’s power to tax, borrow, and spend. It is created by families and businesses working to build a better life.  That’s why Republicans are working to reduce spending and put the country’s budget back on the path to balance.

This week, the House will debate and vote on H.R. 1, a bill to finish a job Democrats left undone by funding government operations through September 30, 2011. Thanks to the hard work of RSC members, the latest version of the bill saves taxpayers even more than when it was originally proposed. And since any member will be allowed to offer amendments (unheard of under former Speaker Pelosi), the final savings could be even larger still.

This week will set the tone for bigger spending fights to come. Here at the RSC, we will keep fighting to get Washington out of the way of prosperity and back on the path to a balanced budget.

God Bless,

Congressman Jim Jordan
Chairman, Republican Study Committee

Teachers Collect Settlement After Foundation Supreme Court Victory

This month, thousands of teachers in Washington state will receive checks from the Washington Education Association (WEA) union, which had illegally spent their forced union fees on the union bosses' political agenda.

In March 2006, the Washington State Supreme Court struck down a state law that required union officials to obtain the prior consent of nonunion public employees before spending their mandatory union dues for political campaigns.

POLITICAL DIGEST 02/16/2011

Attention to Orders
14 Feb 11: Duncan, Gene, Maj. USMC (Ret) is hereby permanently reassigned to Tank Company, USMC Guard, Heaven and will proceed directly there by most expeditious means available. Travel by air authorized.

Those who follow my blog have seen my reports on Maj. Gene Duncan since he was diagnosed with lung cancer last August and given a month to live. He fought that for six months, in one almost continuous party, and with a positive, fearless Marine attitude, with visiting Marines, some wonderful neighbors, lots of Sea Stories and copious Scotch. Dunc described himself as an “old tank driver.” He was also an author of many Marine books, with Dunc’s Almanac on leadership, and his series of wonderful sea stories, starting with Green Side Out being best known.. He was a frequent lecturer at Marine Birthday Balls, and to young recruits and young officers. He held two Bronze Stars with Vs and two purple hearts with the scars to verify the last one. He volunteered to return to active duty for the first Gulf War. Told that his hearing wasn’t good enough for active service, he responded, “Hell, I don’t want to listen to the Iraqis—I want to kill them!”

I was fortunate to be close enough to visit Dunc several times during his last fight. It was a great privilege to know him and have him call me friend. He fought all the way, as the video below shows.

ECONOMIC RUINATION AND OBAMA WANTS TO SPEND MORE!

How Badly Are We Screwed? Very.

The TBAC (Treasury Borrowing Advisory Committee) report is out and it’s nasty.
Key is here:

The OMB, by the way, projected five trillion in surpluses in 2000.  That is, a net debt of near zero over ten years.  Do you think they’re a bit optimistic compared to reality?
Instead we doubled the debt.  Which, incidentally, was a doubling from 1990 too.  And, I might add, that was roughly a doubling from 1980.
Welcome to compound function Hell.

WARNING OF WAR - TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY

With the attempt by Barack Obama to destablize the Egyptian government, many people now believe there is a greater than 50-50 chance of a major war in the next year.

Mubarak, whatever else you want to say about him, was a source of stability in the Middle East.  He could have fought Israel again, after Anwar Sadat was assassinated, but instead he decided there would be peace with Israel.

Now, with Mubarak gone, Hezbollah (read Iran) taking over Lebanon and Jordan and other more moderate Middle Eastern states seeing turmoil, radical elements have the possibility of taking over the region and their number one desire is to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.

Many Americans have forgotten the 1973 war and the Oil Embargo that followed.  We saw gas prices spike, gas shortages and economic chaos.  Joseph Farah, Editor of World Net Daily and who has covered the Middle East since the 70’s says, “certainly since 1973 have things looked so dangerous and volatile there.”

EVERTHING OBAMA DOES WEAKENS THE ECONOMY AND CONTRIBUTES TO CONTINUING UNEMPLOYMENT

Obama's Medicaid Provisions Are an Albatross to Economic Recovery

By Scott Gottlieb
Published February 15, 2011
| FoxNews.com

Republicans are aiming to defund parts of the Obama health plan that don’t take effect until 2014, but some of the legislation’s most ruinous provisions are hurting states right now.

Medicaid provisions tucked into the president’s health care legislation are busting state budgets. These measures are becoming a key obstacle to lowering our high unemployment rate.
The Obama team has backed itself into a corner when it comes to Medicaid’s financing. They pinned a good portion of the president’s health care legislation -- and his promise to cover more of the chronically uninsured -- on a dramatic expansion in the Medicaid rolls.
Now, the Obama administration is unwilling to give states the flexibility that they need in order to cut Medicaid eligibility and downsize their Medicaid programs. But this is the only way that states can preserve benefits for the neediest recipients and avert budget disasters.

NO NPR FUNDING! NONE WHATEVER!

NPR thanks Obama for budget 'vote of confidence'

As some Republicans on Capitol Hill try to cut, or even eliminate, its government funding, National Public Radio has sent a public thank-you to the Obama administration for proposing an increase in taxpayer funding for public radio.
"Public broadcasting received a vote of confidence today from the Obama Administration," NPR said in a statement Monday.  "The President's FY 2012 budget submission to Congress included $451 million for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) for the two year advance appropriation for FY 2014, an increase of $6 million over FY 2013 funding."

INFLATION ALERT!

World Bank: Food prices at "dangerous levels"

WASHINGTON – World Bank President Robert Zoellick says global food prices have hit "dangerous levels" that could contribute to political instability, push millions of people into poverty and raise the cost of groceries.
The bank says in a new report that global food prices have jumped 29 percent in the past year, and are just 3 percent below the all-time peak hit in 2008. Zoellick says the rising prices have hit people hardest in the developing world because they spend as much as half their income on food.
The World Bank estimates higher prices for corn, wheat and oil have pushed 44 million people into extreme poverty since last June.
Zoellick said he expects food prices to continue to rise, and that export bans and weather disruptions are partly to blame.

  • Argentina Confiscates U.S. Air Force Cargo

Argentina's relations with the U.S. worsened sharply Monday as the South American country continued to hold military equipment it confiscated last week from a U.S. Air Force C-17 transport plane sent as part of a training course for local police.
U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs, Arturo Valenzuela, called on Argentina to return the property without delay.
"It's absolutely necessary that they immediately return that material. It makes no sense for it to have been confiscated this way. This material was intended for a joint exercise in training people to rescue hostages," Mr. Valenzuela Monday said on CNN en Espanol.
Argentine Foreign Minister Hector Timerman quickly rebutted Mr. Valenzuela and called on the U.S. to apologize for violating Argentine law.
"I told him, 'Arturo, we have to be careful about this. The laws are made to be followed here and in the U.S. We all need to follow them,'" Mr. Timerman said on CNN en Espanol.
Mr. Timerman accused the U.S. of using the plane to smuggle undeclared firearms, surveillance equipment and "various doses of morphine" into the country for ulterior motives.
He also said that U.S. officials have refused to offer any explanation about the seized material, something State Department officials adamantly deny.

ARIZONA- 'SHERIFF JOE' A TRUE CONSERVATIVE

‘Sheriff Joe’ Arpaio Leads in Arizona Poll for Senate Race

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio led a field of potential Republican Senate candidates in Arizona with 21 percent in a poll of likely GOP primary voters last week.
Rep. Jeff Flake, who announced his candidacy for the seat of retiring Senate Minority Whip Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.) on Monday, finished second with 16.8 percent in the Summit Consulting Group survey. Former Rep. J.D. Hayworth took third, with 16.6 percent. He was unsuccessful in his primary challenge to Sen. John McCain last year.
The auto-dial poll of 1,881 likely GOP primary voters was conducted Thursday. It had a margin of error of 3 percentage points, which would put the top three finishers in a statistical tie.
Coming in fourth was former Rep. John Shadegg at 12 percent, followed by freshman Rep. Ben Quayle at 6 percent. A significant percentage of respondents, 27.5 percent, were undecided.

    Liberty Counsel

Senator Barbara Boxer and other leftist legislators
are saying that federal agencies do not
fund abortions! This is a smoke and mirrors
tactic right out of the playbook of the
now-defunct 111th Congress. We must counter
this deceitful tactic by supporting a critical
vote in the House expected this week. See my
                urgent message below - Mat.

    Conservatives,

With amazing Leftist double-speak, Senator Barbara Boxer
(D-CA) took the podium at a recent press conference with
several other Democrat Senators and declared,  "We're not
    spending federal funds on abortions."

She contends that subsidizing health insurance
plans that cover abortion services is not "direct"
federal funding of abortion. She implies that
the proposed pro-life initiatives making their
way through the house are partisan twisting of
                the facts.

Well, Liberty Counsel strongly disagrees with you, Senator
    Boxer
. It is you and those who stand with you who are twisting
    the facts!

Mexican National Chases, Opens Fire On Calif. Sheriff's Deputy

A Mexican national twice opened fire on a Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputy who was driving home on the eastbound Pomona (60) Freeway in South El Monte, the department announced.
The deputy, who has not been identified, was not injured. He returned fire, wounding the suspect who has been identified as 25-year-old Armando Gonzalez.
The deputy said he saw the suspect reach down, and fearing that he was arming himself, the deputy accelerated away from the suspect. The suspect again caught up along the left side of the deputy's car, pulled out a handgun, and fired at the deputy. The deputy returned fire.
The deputy pulled away from the suspect and ultimately pulled over on the side of the freeway to use his cell phone to call for help.
While the deputy was stopped on the side of the freeway, the suspect pulled up behind the deputy's car, and fired additional shots at the deputy, before driving away from the scene.
Deputies later arrested Gonzalez, who had pulled over north of the freeway and was observed by citizens with blood on his shirt. He head been hit in the face by gunfire from the deputy. A handgun was recovered from inside the suspect's car.

SENATOR SETS FORTH COMMON-SENSE IMMIGRATION BILL - NO BULK AMNESTY!

SEN. HATCH BILL TO ELIMINATE VISA LOTTERY, PROVIDE EXIT PROCEDURE, IMPROVE INTERIOR IMMIGRATION ENFORCEMENT

Sen. Hatch to Introduce Major Immigration Enforcement Legislation

    Sen. Orrin Hatch
    Sen. Orrin Hatch
Later this week, Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) will be introducing the Strengthening Our Commitment to Legal Immigration and America's Security Act that would eliminate the Visa Lottery, strengthen interior enforcement, and require the implementation of an exit procedure for foreign visitors to the United States.

Sen. Hatch unveiled the details of his bill on Friday while addressing the Heritage Foundation in Washington.

"I continue to believe that we must do everything to properly and finally secure our border," Sen. Hatch said. "Many of our nation’s problems result from a residual effect of a porous border and a breakdown of our immigration enforcement system. I continue to work with and support my colleagues whose states are located along the Southwest border. Of all people, they know what resources we need to deploy to accomplish the job."
Sen. Hatch's legislation would have six major points:

    STOP CONGRESSIONAL WASTE IN SPENDING

    Dear Conservatives:
Merely one month after taking control of the House of Representatives, Republicans appear poised to renege on a promise they made to the American people.
Fed up with the rapid growth of government and unsustainable deficit spending, the American people elected a new Republican-led House back in November based in large part on two very clear promises: That they would...
    • Reduce the size of government and drastically cut excessive spending that is bankrupting our great country, and

    • End the reckless practice of earmarks.

DEFUND OBAMACARE AND STOP THE ANTICS!

TELL YOUR CONGRESSMAN TO VOTE AGAINST THE RULE. READ BELOW FOR DETAILS.
Last night, the House of Representatives’ Rules Committee shut down Rep. Steve King’s ability to offer an amendment to completely defund Obamacare on the continuing resolution to fund the government through the end of the year. House Republicans are now hiding behind parliamentary rules to say that it would somehow violate what the new Republican Majority is all about.
This is just complete and utter nonsense.
Obamacare was a mix of what is called discretionary and mandatory spending. King is trying to defund the entire law, but the parliamentarians are arguing that his amendment would be out of order (i.e. against House Rules) because it attempts to mess with programs that are not strictly discretionary.
