Nevada: Senate to Vote on Anti-Gun “Pre-Crime” Legislation

Last night, the Senate amended and second read Senate Bill 387.  SB 387 is now on the general file and is eligible for a full Senate vote today.  It is important that you contact your state Senator immediately and strongly urge them to OPPOSE Senate Bill 387 when it comes up for a vote. Senate Bill 387, sponsored by Senator Julia Ratti (D-13) would allow for ex parte orders to remove your Second Amendment rights - not because of a criminal conviction or mental adjudication, but based on third party allegations.  This order lacks due process as firearms are required to be surrendered weeks before a hearing may take place.  Further, this bill, unlike the current "Legal 2000 process," would do nothing to address those in need of mental health treatment or evaluation.  Again, please click the “Take Action” button to contact your state Senator and strongly urge them to OPPOSE Senate Bill 387 when it comes up for a vote.
