 Dear Conservatives, America finally has a President who supports Term Limits for Congress. The problem is there are six Republican Senators standing in the way. Please urge the GANG OF SIX Senators on the Judiciary Committee to allow the entire Senate to hold an up-or-down vote on Term Limits. Your GANG OF SIX Term Limits Petition will be delivered to six key Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee and to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. Your Petition is urgent because here at The Conservative Caucus (TCC) we aim to flood each of these six Senators with 10,000 signatures on our Petition as soon as they return from the Thanksgiving recess so we can get an up-or-down vote by the entire Senate early next year. As a principled conservative I know you want to help President Trump "Drain The Swamp." And I believe imposing Term Limits on Congress is the single most important step toward getting rid of the arrogant, corrupt Professional Politicians who put their re-elections first . . . and put America last. Polls consistently show about 75 percent of voters support Term Limits. But right now Lifetime Politicians have an excuse for failing to enact Term Limits: They say "I haven't had a chance to vote for Term Limits because this legislation has never come up for a vote -- it's bottled up in committee!" And it's true. The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that enacting Congressional Term Limits requires a Constitutional Amendment. And legislation that amends the Constitution must begin in the House and Senate Judiciary Committees. These two Judiciary Committees must pass Term Limits legislation by simple majority before the full Congress can vote on it. You'll be glad to hear The Conservative Caucus has devised a simple, targeted strategy for pressuring the Senate Judiciary Committee to pass the Term Limits resolution TCC is supporting: S.J. Res. 2 and H.J. Res. 6, introduced by Senator Ted Cruz of Texas and Representative Ron DeSantis of Florida. (We're focusing on the Senate Judiciary Committee first and using that vote to turn up the heat on the House Judiciary committee.) Here is TCC's strategy for pushing Term Limits through the Senate Judiciary Committee. And after reading it I'm sure you'll agree that persuading six of 100 Senators to support Term Limits is the best way to create momentum toward winning 67 Senators for final passage. The Judiciary Committee has 11 Republicans and 9 Democrats. That means the Republicans can pass our Term Limits legislation through committee by a simple majority. We won't bother with the Democrats at this point, because they're all radical Leftists like Diane Feinstein and Al Franken. As you know, to Lifetime Politicians like them, Washington, DC isn't a Swamp -- it's a hot tub -- and they love swimming in it. Which brings us back to the Gang of Six -- the six Republican Senators who stand in the way of an up-or-down vote on Term Limits by the entire Congress. Of the 11 Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee, we know five are on our side because they have sponsored our Term Limits resolution: Senators Ted Cruz of Texas, Mike Lee of Utah, Ben Sasse of Nebraska, John Kennedy of Louisiana, and Thom Tillis of North Carolina. That leaves the Gang of Six who aren't yet supporting S.J. Res. 2 -. Chuck Grassley Orrin G. Hatch Lindsey Graham John Cornyn Jeff Flake Mike Crapo Persuading these six Senators on the Judiciary Committee to vote YES on Term Limits provides us with a shortcut to getting Term Limits through Congress because of "The Domino Effect." Remember every Representative who wants to stay in the House faces re-election next year.
