ILLINOIS TEACHER REPRIMANDED FOR TEACHING U.S. CONSTITUTION

ALERT: A high school teacher in Illinois has been given an official reprimand and had his pay docked... for advising students of their Constitutional rights before taking a school survey on their behavior. 

YOU READ THAT RIGHT -- John Dryden, an educator at Batavia High School, was disciplined by the school's administration AND by the Batavia School Board for "unprofessional conduct" -- because he did his job and taught his students the facts about the U.S. Constitution! A high school social studies teacher in Batavia, Illinois, faces disciplinary action for informing students of their Fifth Amendment rights in connection with a survey asking about illegal drug use. The survey, ostensibly aimed at assessing the needs of students at Batavia High School, was distributed on April 18. After picking up the survey forms from his mailbox about 10 minutes before his first class of the day, John Dryden noticed that they had students' names on them and that they asked about drinking and drug use, among other subjects. Dryden, who had just finished teaching a unit on the Bill of Rights, worried that students might feel obliged to incriminate themselves -- an especially ticklish situation given the police officer stationed at the school. Since there was no time to confer with administrators, he says, he decided to tell his students that they did not have to complete the forms if doing so involved admitting illegal behavior.

YOUR SHERIFF MUST ARREST CIMINALITY NO MATTER THE STANDING OF THE PERSON 

When a County Sheriff knows that someone in his County has committed a crime, it is his duty to arrest that individual. When sufficient evidence is provided that an elected official violates their oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution. When an public servant violates the Supreme Law of the Land they have committed a crime and it is the responsibility of the Sheriff to enforce the law by arresting the elected official. When a Sheriff knows that an individual has committed a crime and does nothing about it, the Sheriff becomes an accomplice and violates the oath that he has taken to uphold the Constitution. The Sheriff has the duty to arrest criminals that break the law, and giving elected officials immunity should not be tolerated. It is the responsibility of the Sheriff to hold our elected officials accountable and it is our responsibility to hold our Sheriff accountable. Sheriffs need to know that the people in their counties will no longer sit idly by while their Sheriff turns their back on the criminal activity of our elected officials. The people need to send a loud and clear message to their Sheriff that they will no longer support a Sheriff that refuses to enforce the Supreme Law of Land.

Harvard Law School was embarrassed recently when one of its graduates, the putative President of the United States, demonstrated that he was unaware that the supreme Court has constitutional authority to declare an act of Congress unconstitutional.¹

And after reading a recent paper by Harvard law professor Einer Elhauge, one wonders whether the academic standards (or is it the moral standards?) of that once great school have collapsed.

Professor Elhauge says in “If Health Insurance Mandates Are Unconstitutional, Why Did the Founding Fathers Back Them?” (The New Republic, April 13, 2012), that Congress may force us to buy health insurance because in 1792, our Framers required all male citizens to buy guns; and in 1798 required ship owners using U.S. ports (dock-Yards) to pay a fee to the federal government in order to fund hospitals for sick or disabled seamen at the U.S. ports.

 Jackson County Kentucky Sheriff Denny Peyman is making it clear that no law that violates the Constitution will be upheld in his county.

This especially applies to new gun control edicts Obama & Co. are trying to push onto the American people.

Said Peyman: "My office will not comply with any federal action which violates the United States Constitution or the Kentucky Constitution which I swore uphold."

And far from worrying about repercussions for doing this, Peyman sees the gun control push as a sign of weakness that will crumble in the face of real opposition: "Just a few of us have to be willing to stand up to political opposition putting our people at risk. The other side will back down."

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have found a patriot. And his name is Sheriff Denny Peyman.

Seven Ominous Storms Facing America After the Coming Election

This past Sunday metaphorically pictured the present situation of our nation: Even with a terrible storm on the horizon (on the East Coast) many people were being (spiritually) lulled to sleep while fascinated with football games and entertainment through media.

This is eerily similar to more than 1,500 years ago, when the Roman emperor distracted the masses with gladiatorial games, traveling circuses, and distributed free bread against the backdrop of the looming Barbarian hordes about to invade, plunder and ravage their cities.

It is truly time for the whole church to wake up—to fast, pray and engage the culture as salt and light before night comes and no man can work!

These are some of the words I have been saying with more and more frequency the past several years to leaders I know in the body of Christ. Lately I have been feeling sympathetic to the way Jeremiah the prophet must have felt as he kept warning of the impending doom coming to his nation if it did not repent.

When the motor of history gets revved up (as it surely is now), it becomes more than commonly difficult to discriminate between the mere static of events rubbing against one another and that appoggiatura that announces the main theme of the moment. 

You’d have to be pretty thick not to sense that something big is happening in the world. Just yesterday, the Evening Standard published a column of mine in which I reprised James Carville’s famous taunt, “It’s the economy, stupid.”

Carville was right, except when he wasn’t, e.g., at about 10:00 a.m. on September 11, 2001, or, as we see all about us, in the aftermath of September 11, 2012, when some representatives of the “Arab Spring” stormed the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, and murdered U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other diplomats.

What was the most extraordinary statement to come out of that outrage, or the successive and still unfolding attacks on U.S. and other Western interests by Islamists across the world?

First prize for naïveté must surely go to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who had this to say about the murder of those four Americans:
