llinois illegally seizes bees resistant to Monsanto’s Roundup; Kills remaining Queens

The Illinois Ag Dept.  illegally seized privately owned bees from renowned naturalist, Terrence Ingram, without providing him with a search warrant and before the court hearing on the matter, reports Prairie Advocate News.

Behind the obvious violations of his Constitutional rights is Monsanto. Ingram was researching Roundup’s effects on bees, which he’s raised for 58 years.  “They ruined 15 years of my research,” he told Prairie Advocate, by stealing most of his stock.

A certified letter from the Ag Dept.’s Apiary Inspection Supervisor, Steven D. Chard, stated:

“During a routine inspection of your honeybee colonies by … Inspectors Susan Kivikko and Eleanor Balson on October 23, 2011, the bacterial disease ‘American Foulbrood’ was detected in a number of colonies located behind your house…. Presence of the disease in some of your colonies was confirmed via test results from the USDA Bee Research Laboratory in Beltsville, Maryland that analyzed samples collected from your apiary….”

Ingram can prove his bees did not have foulbrood, and planned to do so at a hearing set in April, but the state seized his bees at the end of March. They have not returned them and no one at the Ag Dept. seems to know where his bees are.

ILLINOIS TEACHER REPRIMANDED FOR TEACHING U.S. CONSTITUTION

A high school social studies teacher in Batavia, Illinois, faces disciplinary action for informing students of their Fifth Amendment rights in connection with a survey asking about illegal drug use. The survey, ostensibly aimed at assessing the needs of students at Batavia High School, was distributed on April 18. After picking up the survey forms from his mailbox about 10 minutes before his first class of the day, John Dryden noticed that they had students' names on them and that they asked about drinking and drug use, among other subjects. Dryden, who had just finished teaching a unit on the Bill of Rights, worried that students might feel obliged to incriminate themselves -- an especially ticklish situation given the police officer stationed at the school. Since there was no time to confer with administrators, he says, he decided to tell his students that they did not have to complete the forms if doing so involved admitting illegal behavior.

Illinois collapsing, Madigan’s now worried about taxpayers? Blames Unions by iteap

The most powerful man in Illinois is feeling the heat from the state’s worst-in-the-nation financial crisis. With S&P downgrading Illinois’ credit rating again last week and Gov. Quinn forced to cancel a much needed loan, the state’s top Democrats appear to be turning on each other. In a harsh letter from Speaker Madigan to the AFL-CIO three days ago, the 30-year House Speaker blames the unions for the state’s insurmountable problems.

The emergency

One week ago, credit agencies lowered Illinois’ credit rating to just above junk status. The only other state with a similarly bad financial rating is California. But as analysts point out, California has already hit bottom and is on its way back up. It has a future outlook of ‘positive’. Illinois on the other hand, is still on its way down, with an outlook designated by credit agencies as ‘negative’.

The major cause for Illinois’ terrible financial shape is its decades of unfunded government employee pensions. The state leads the nation in that category as well, with $96.8 billion in pension funding missing as of the end of FY2012. That number’s up from $83 billion at the end of FY2011. That equates to 61% of Illinois’ total pension funds, missing.

STATES ALLOWING ILLEGAL ALIENS DRIVERS LICENSES AREN'T HAVING THEM GET INSURANCE - ACCIDENTS INCREASE AS DO DEATHS

I mean, you're allowed to drive there even if you aren't allowed to be there. Know what I mean? If not, have a liberal explain it to you. It's sort of like it is illegal for a burglar to enter your home without your permission, but once there he is protected by law against being harmed and is allowed to help himself to your fridge (not a law yet, but look for it).

Drivers licences for illegal aliens is a reality in Illinois. Like all liberal ideas, it sounds great and all warm and fuzzy, and the guv says letting illegal Mexicans drive without fear of being busted will make streets safer. But it doesn't work elsewhere. Maybe the states that have the silly law need to talk to the IL legislators to see why failure is good for people.
