Hello Rockford Tea Party...
Rockford Tea Party Co-Coordinator Ulysses S Arn will lead a Tea Party protest this Tuesday at noon in downtown Rockford. Please take a break from your day and join him and area Tea Party groups to stand against the newest abuses by the Obama administration as revealed in the most recent IRS Scandal.
Join with your fellow Patriots Tuesday May 21st at Noon to protest the IRS office at 211 South Court Street Rockford, IL
In the wake of the Internal Revenue Service targeting, harassing, and intimidating Tea Party, 9/12, pro-life, and other conservative organizations over their applications for tax except status, which former congressman Joe Walsh has called criminal, the Rockford Tea Party will be holding a protest outside of the IRS office at 211 South Court Street at Noon on Tuesday May 21, 2013.
In the last week plus we have learned that the IRS sent inappropriate and unnecessary questions to over 500 Tea Party and conservative groups since 2010, including The West Suburban Patriots located here in Illinois. The IRS specifically targeted groups and organizations with "Tea Party", "Patriot", and "9/12" in their name as identified by the IRS's Inspector General's report. According to the Thomas More Society pro-life groups faced similar scrutiny beginning in 2009.
Some of the IRS's inappropriate conduct included asking for list of donors, whether or not a groups members had or planned to run for elected office, what books they had read, one pro-life group was asked about the contents of its prayers. The IRS also asked several groups for back-door access to their websites and for access to their social media sites, including the personal pages of members.
If intrusiveness wasn't bad enough over two dozen organizations had their applications and other documents sent to a non-profit media outfit in violation of the law. While another organization had its donor information sent to a supporter of President Obama in order to attack Mitt Romney.
"This type of behavior by the IRS goes beyond government overreach, it goes beyond incompetence, it is even beyond criminal, this tyrannical", says Rockford Tea Party co-coordinator Ulysses S. Arn.
The Rockford Tea Party is encouraging anyone outraged by the abuses of the IRS to come to the IRS office in Rockford to let them know that this kind of targeting, harassment, and intimidation is unacceptable in our Constitutional Republic.
