Yes, Barack Obama and Senate Democrats are at war with our nation’s veterans and if you don't believe it, consider what Barack Obama and Senate Democrats just did to add insult to the injury to our nation's veterans.
Just a few days ago, the Republicans and Democrats in the House of Representatives overwhelmingly (390-33) passed a bill to bring a small measure of accountability to the scandal-plagued Veterans Administration (VA), but when Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) asked for consent in the Senate to take up the bill, socialist Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) - speaking for the entire Democratic caucus - OBJECTED and blocked the bill.
But that's not all. According to credible media reports, Sanders has been abusing his position as Chairman of the Veteran Affairs Committee to actively block the bill in the Senate for some time now and when the scandal first broke, he sent so far as to tell CNN "People die every day."
Yes, Barack Obama and Senate Democrats have declared all-out war on our nation's veterans, and they wouldn't be doing it if they honestly believed that people were paying attention.
Make no mistake, they honestly believe that they can accept a few resignations and talk compassionately about our veterans out of one side of their mouths and then fight our veterans out of the other because you're too stupid to catch on to what they're doing... and you can change that dynamic right now. Shinseki's Resignation Is Not The End... It's Just The Beginning... What About The Scores Of Veterans Left To Rot In County Morgues?
American Legion National Commander Daniel M. Dellinger, said: "It is not the solution, yet it is a beginning. ... But it was never just about a few of the top leaders. The solution is to weed out the incompetence and corruption."
Conservative pundit Gary Bauer adds: "Dellinger is absolutely right - big government incompetence and corruption is the problem. Sadly, this scandal is far from over. To underscore that point, a new report released today finds that wait times were manipulated at more than 60 percent' of VA facilities."
That's not a coincidence or incompetence within the system... THAT'S A CONSPIRACY.
And just in case you're thinking that the Obama Regime's war against our nation's veterans stops with secret waiting lists, think again. The abuses at the Veterans Administration go much deeper. KCAL9, the Los Angeles, California CBS affiliate is reporting that scores of veterans were left to rot in the county morgue for over a year without receiving proper burials.
According to the report: "CBS2/KCAL9 pressed the L.A. County Coroner’s Office Thursday to find out why the bodies had not yet received a proper burial after a source indicated there may have been as many as 60 veterans at the morgue for the past year and a half."
Democrats might think that they can rely upon the resignations of a few sacrificial lambs and Barack Obama's phony political pontifications for cover, but we're not about to let them get away with this war on our nation's veterans. Dr. Ben Carson went so far as to call this scandal a "gift from God."
"I think what's happening with the veterans is a gift from God to show us what happens when you take layers and layers of bureaucracy and place them between the patients and the health care provider... and if we can't get it right, with the relatively small number of veterans, how in the world with are you going to do it with the entire population?"
Radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh echoed those sentiments:
"[E]verybody's headed for a similar potential as these deaths in the VA. No matter how big anybody's heart is, no matter how much they care, here is a microcosm of what ObamaCare is gonna be if it's fully implemented."
And former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, who was actively mocked by the liberal media for talking about coming death panels under ObamaCare, said:
"Friends, that’s rationed care. That’s the VA today. That's what's got to change... until we elect leaders who'll buck the march to socialized medicine known as Obamacare, America’s health care system will go the way of the VA."
