My
under-qualified, moderate opponent has been on the campaign trail
saying that since ObamaCare was the law, we should just stop fighting
and accept it. He’s also said it was better for Nevada to set up its own
ObamaCare exchange rather than use the federal exchange.
That
sounds good in theory. But in practice the Nevada ObamaCare exchange
that Mark Hutchison (R-Personal Injury Lawyers) helped set up in Nevada
is even worse than the federal ObamaCare exchange!
In fact, there are at least 200 Nevadans
already prepared to file a class-action lawsuit against the program,
and a ballot initiative is being circulated for signatures to repeal it.
Worse,
the program’s own board or directors may be on the verge of
recommending that we scrap it entirely and join the federal exchange
after all.
If it does, those responsible for
setting up and defending this Nevada ObamaCare exchange disaster are
going to have massive egg on their face.
Maybe
it is time we give the Governor the tools he needs if he decides we need
to “pull the plug,” scrap the Nevada ObamaCare exchange and let
President Obama worry about fixing all the problems with ObamaCare
instead of saddling Nevadans with the cost and aggravation.
