Bob Hope Christmas With The Troops I vividly remember Bob Hope coming to Cu Chi, Vietnam in 1967. I was with the 101st Airborne Division when he and his team of great personalities came to entertain. Florida is leading in this area and the FL Department of Education and local school boards, like the Sarasota County School Board, are complicite. Concerned Tennessee citizens formed a group called Textbook Advocates that conducted reviews of over 50 textbooks that can be found here. Many of those errors involved Islam to include incomplete information on Muhammad, overstating Islam’s influence and simple disparity in word/sentence count on discussions of Islam versus other religions. Government Largess is the Opiate of the People I attended a round-table presentation given by a local doctor on expanding Medicare to cover ever more Americans. A member of the group during the discussion asked everyone around that table about their personal health care coverage. Everyone said the federal government was at least in part subsidizing their coverage. I want to use the example of Social Security to explain how we have all become addicted to government largess. With our addiction government control over us has increased to the point that today many are dependent on federal largess to maintain their health, happiness and well being. Duck Dynasty’s Robertson Angers Alcoholics, Philanderers Phil Robertson’s recent controversial comments have drawn criticism from a wide spectrum of offended minorities. Most inflammatory in his remarks was this infamous passage: “Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men…Don’t be deceived. Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers — they won’t inherit the kingdom of God.
