OBAMA LIES AND THE MSM SWEARS TO HIS LIES! THERE IS NO END TO THE RECESSION!

Dear Conservatives,
"Today, five years after the start of that great recession, America has fought its way back."

These words were spoken by President Obama this summer at yet another warmed-over version of the same economic policy speech that he has given for the past five years. Too bad the economic facts don't support the president's assertion:

  • A record one in six Americans are receiving federally subsidized food assistance.
  • The Labor Force Participation Rate is at the lowest rate since 1979, with more than 90 million Americans not in the labor force.
  • Gas costs remain high with a national average of $3.58 per gallon.
  • America's GDP is limping along at an average growth rate of only 1.2 percent over the last three quarters.
Even though Obama's speech on the economy is maddeningly repetitive and completely void of reality, the media again failed to call out the president and instead parroted his false talking points.

And to illustrate further the media's lies and liberal bias, consider this news story on gas prices from the Bush era:

In 2006, CBS Evening News reporter Sharyn Alfonsi suggested higher pump prices meant the elderly were going to starve: "They're used to living on fixed incomes, but now skyrocketing gas prices are forcing seniors to make difficult choices. Some are cutting back on gasoline; others say they're eating less." At the time of this report, gas was averaging less than $2.50 per gallon.

Reprehensible! That's the only word to describe the media's reckless and blatantly biased reporting.

If you're sick of these lies and distortions, there's something you can do. If you think that the American people deserve better than left-wing news agencies spinning the same old Obama talking points, then please make a gift before midnight tonight and demand that the media "Stop Lying to Me!"

And when you give before midnight tonight, your gift will be DOUBLED, thanks to the generosity of two of our trustees. There's never been a better time to give.

Thank you for standing with the MRC.

Sincerely,
