Some big news to report... As you can see from the headline below, U.S. News & World Report has a new piece out from contributing editor, Peter Roff, that says a "Perfect Storm" may be brewing in the upcoming Special Election for U.S. Senate in New Jersey:

Roff notes Conservative Republican Steve Lonegan's dramatic surge in the polls and speculates as to why Lonegan is surging:

• "Why is Lonegan as close as he is? Some people suggest it's a by-product of the national environment. Voters are looking for an opportunity to register their disapproval with President Barack Obama's leadership, as reflected in his falling approval numbers, and with his signature health care law, which on paper is scheduled to go into effect shortly but which has been beset by delays that have forced the administration to issue waivers and shift deadlines forward."

Booker likely made a big mistake when he tied his campaign so closely to Obama, making this race a national referendum on Barack Obama precisely at the point that polls show Obama's approval rating at his lowest level ever.  And yet here is Obama being featured in Booker's campaign ads:

The bottom line is this - a series of polls show that Conservative Republican Steve Lonegan is surging and if we can keep up this momentum we will win this race:
