Fast & Furious: Guns Show Up in Three More Crimes

Remember Fast & Furious? With all of the recent scandals we sometimes forget about our government putting guns in the hands of Mexican drug lords. We learned on Wednesday that some of those guns were involved with 3 more crimes in Mexico. CBS reports:
Three more weapons from Fast and Furious have turned up at crime scenes in Mexico, CBS News has learned, as the toll from the controversial federal operation grows.
According to Justice Department tracing documents obtained by CBS News, all three guns are WASR-10 762-caliber Romanian rifles. Two were purchased by Fast and Furious suspect Uriel Patino in May and July of 2010. Sean Steward, who was convicted on gun charges in July 2012, purchased a third. The rifles were traced yesterday to the Lone Wolf gun shop in Glendale, Ariz.
During Fast and Furious and similar operations, federal agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) encouraged the Lone Wolf and other gun stores to sell massive amounts of weapons to questionable purchasers who allegedly trafficked them Mexican drug cartels.

Patino is said to have purchased 700 guns while under ATF’s watch. Ever since, a steady stream of the guns have been recovered at crime scenes in Mexico and the U.S. But the Justice Department has refused repeated requests from Congress and CBS News to provide a full accounting. An estimated 1,400 guns are still on the street or unaccounted for.
1400 guns in the hands of criminals thanks to our federal government. It’s mind numbing.
Tim Brown reported last month that Fast & Furious guns were used in the murder of a police chief. The body count continues to rise. CBS did not comment on the nature of the three recent crimes so hopefully no more lives have been lost.
Dave Workman of the Examiner has tracked at least some of the purchases of Uriel Patino and here is his account:
“In Nov. 2, 2009, he bought four FN Herstal 5.7 pistols from the Scottsdale Gun Club. One Nov. 23, he bought another FN Herstal 5.7 pistol at Gunnet in Peoria. On Nov. 27, he bought one Magnum Research Desert Eagle pistol and six FN Herstal 5.7 pistols from Lone Wolf Trading Company. The next day, he bought another Desert Eagle pistol at the Scottsdale Gun Club. On Dec. 11, he bought 20 AK-47 type rifles from Lone Wolf.
“On Jan. 15, 2010 he bought 10 AK-47s at Lone Wolf. On Jan. 30, Patino bought 15 AK-47 type rifles from Lone Wolf. On February 8, he purchased five Draco AK-47 pistols and five AK-47 type rifles from Lone Wolf. Three days later he was back at Lone Wolf, buying three AK-47s and two Draco AK-47 type pistols. The next day, Feb. 12, he was back again at Lone Wolf, buying two Draco AK-47 type pistols and on the 13th he returned to buy eight AK-47 type rifles and two Draco AK-47 type pistols.
“On Feb. 20, according to the charging documents, an Isuzu Rodeo was seen on the Tohono O’odham Nation in Arizona heading south toward the border. When cops showed up, the driver abandoned the vehicle. Inside were 41 firearms wrapped in plastic, including 37 guns Patino purchased between Jan. 15 and Feb. 13….
“On March 15, Patino was back at Lone Wolf buying 40 AK-47 type rifles, and ten days later he returned to purchase 26 AK-47s and one Colt pistol chambered in .38 Super. The following day, he returned to Lone Wolf to buy six AK-47 type rifles and another Colt in .38 Super, the document says…
“On April 16, Patino returned to Lone Wolf, where this time he bought three Barrett .50-caliber rifles that he and another suspect, Kristi Gail Ireland, had paid for over the previous two days, April 14 and 15. On April 27, Patino bought ten FN Herstal 5.7 pistols from Lone Wolf.
“On May 28, Patino got a .308-caliber rifle from Gunnet in Peoria. Then on June 2, he bought ten AK-47 type rifles and a Bushmaster AR-15 from Lone Wolf. On June 18, Patino bought nine FN Herstal 5.7 pistols at Lone Wolf, and on June 21, he bought a Draco AK-47 pistol at Bear Arms in Scottsdale. One June 22, he bought another Draco AK-47 type pistol at Bear Arms.
“On July 8, he bought 16 AK-47 type rifles at Lone Wolf and on Aug. 5 he bought another dozen AK-47 type rifles at Lone Wolf. This was after his July 6 purchase of ten AK-47 type pistols from Lone Wolf.”
Amazing stuff. No wonder Holder & company are trying to make sure that we never get to see the details of the operation. What we already see is beyond criminal. I hope Obama remembers to report this stuff to the United Nations after he signs the treaty. He also needs to report those stinger missiles that he was diverting through the CIA in Benghazi. But that’s another story…
As with all of these scandals, there are families that want answers. Brian Terry and Jaime Zapata were gunned down in the line of duty by weapons that their own government trafficked.
So when Eric Holder blocks the appropriate and relevant files from being released, what are we supposed to think?
The amazing thing about all of these scandals is that so much of the dirty work is done right before our eyes and half of America, or more, still doesn’t seem to care.
You’d damn well care if Brian Terry was your son.
This is treason and though we don’t have all of the details that Holder has squashed we have enough evidence to know that our government has screwed this up really badly. Is putting guns in the hands of Mexican drug cartels not considered “aiding & abetting” the enemy?
So why has no one been held accountable?
Your government officials are insulated so well that these “hearings” we continually see are nothing more than political grandstanding. These legislators are more worried about their hair, tie-selection and make-up then about getting any real justice for “We the People.”
Wake up America!
