RENEW AMERICA NEWSLETTER 06/18/2013

June 17, 2013
WES VERNON, RA ANALYST — We have been trying in this series to point out the seemingly never-ending chain of lies and deceit to keep Americans in the dark regarding deliberate plots to tear down the United States of America... (more)
Impeachment now!
ALAN KEYES — The Obama faction is now openly engaged in a campaign to use the power of the U.S. government to overthrow the U.S. Constitution. Because they have not or will not let themselves be tutored by America's founders, the GOP majority in the House of Representatives is showing itself to be incompetent to deal with it....(more)

KATHRYN JEAN LOPEZ — Reporters laughed. At her regularly scheduled Thursday-morning press conference as leader of the House Democrats, former speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi was asked to explain the moral difference between killing "a baby born alive at 23 weeks," as Dr. Kermit Gosnell did in his Philadelphia clinic, and "aborting her moments before her birth."... (more)

WASHINGTON EXAMINER — Dr. Carmen Landau, an abortion doctor in Albuquerque, New Mexico, was caught on camera by a pro-life activist comparing the injection used to kill a baby in the womb as "like any shot, you know, like a flu shot, or a vaccine, really."... (more)

WORLDNETDAILY — Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif., is ripping Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., and other Republicans for facilitating the Democratic approach to immigration reform and deceiving the American people about what's in the legislation.... (more)

WASHINGTON EXAMINER — Senate passage of the Schumer-Rubio immigration bill is looking like far less of a sure thing after Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., and Senate Democrats voted down an amendment yesterday that would have secured the border first before granting illegal immigrants citizenship.... (more)

JOSEPH FARAH — It's not just that government collects so much data on Americans that bothers me. It's what the government does and doesn't do with the data that makes it worse. Take, for example, the feisty interchange between Rep. Louis Gohmert, R-Texas, and FBI Director Robert Mueller last week.... (more)

PHILIP KLEIN — If you followed the news over the weekend, you would have come away with the impression that the Islamic Republic of Iran just elected a reform-minded moderate leader as president.... (more)

LIBERTY NEWS — Recall our story from last week - - valedictorian Remington Reimer, a senior from Joshua High School in Texas, made national news when his mic was cut off during his speech after mentioning God and the U.S. Constitution. Appalling, right? Well, the story doesn't stop there.... (more)

BREITBART — On Father's Day weekend, President Obama issued his usual radio and internet address, in which he talked about his own father's absence, talked about the heroism of single parents, and lamented the plight of put-upon gay dads.... (more)

NATIONAL REVIEW ONLINE — Today, marriage is less likely to ground and guide American family life. The recent response from the left to the nation's retreat from marriage is instructive.... (more)

CLIFF KINCAID — In a 2011 article in the socialist publication In These Times, anti-NSA journalist Glenn Greenwald said "the only thing that can truly strengthen America's national security is a weakening of America." He also declared that al-Qaeda's 9/11 terrorist attacks on America were "very minimal in scope compared to the level of deaths that the United States has been bringing to the world for decades - - from Vietnam to illegal wars in Central America..."... (more)

CNET — The National Security Agency has acknowledged in a new classified briefing that it does not need court authorization to listen to domestic phone calls. Rep. Jerrold Nadler, a New York Democrat, disclosed this week that during a secret briefing to members of Congress, he was told that the contents of a phone call could be accessed "simply based on an analyst deciding that."... (more)

MICHELLE MALKIN — We all know now what the vengeful Obama IRS has been doing to conservative nonprofits the past four years: strangling them in the crib. But do you know how much pampering and largesse far-left welfare-state charities have received while limited-government groups suffered? You don't know the half of it.... (more)

CLIFF KINCAID — Shedding new light on the controversy over the NSA terrorist surveillance program, the journalist who has served as the mouthpiece for former NSA contract employee Edward Snowden has addressed several Marxist-Leninist conferences over the last few years.... (more)

ANDREW C. MCCARTHY — The jihad rages on, but the War on Terror is over. There is no longer a national-security consensus - - no longer the political support for wartime defense measures, much less offensive combat operations. While the enemy continues to fight, our will to break the enemy's will has vanished. After a contentious week, that much is clear... (more)

RASMUSSEN REPORTS — There is little public support for the sweeping and unaccountable nature of the National Security Agency surveillance program along with concerns about how the data will be used.... (more)
