ALLEN WEST LEADING CHARGE TO GAIN A CONSERVATIVE CONGRESS - HELP HIM

Conservatives,

It only took the most egregious intrusion of individual privacy in the history of the United States, but finally, Barack Obama's popularity is plummeting! New polling shows the president's approval ratings have dropped 8 points since the National Security Agency surveillance program was leaked. More importantly, his popularity has dropped 10 points among people under 30, black Americans, and independents.

I'm not telling you this to gloat. I'm telling you this because Americans are finally realizing the truth about our president's radical agenda, and it's our duty to ensure they don't forget as we head into the 2014 midterm elections.

As a retired lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army, keeping our homeland safe and secure is high on my priority list. That's why I'm leading the charge to elect the next generation of conservative leaders to Congress—individuals, who are either veterans or minorities, who will also make national security one of their main concerns—through the Allen West Guardian Fund.

Over the past few weeks, I've sent you a series of emails outlining my concerns about the NSA leaks, Obama's failed approach to homeland security, and the disturbing scandals in which the administration is involved. I've also shared with you two quotations—one from the great Roman philosopher Marcus Tullius Cicero and the other from our Founding Father, Benjamin Franklin—that highlight the severity of the current situations.

"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself...A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague." —Cicero

"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." —Franklin

Today, I urge you to reflect on these two quotations and consider what you can do to protect American liberty and defend the Constitution.

Thanks,

Allen West
