Have you wondered why there are no new jobs? Because Obama's right hand man, Harry Reid, has been STALLING every jobs bill that is proposed!
In the meantime, the liberals are blaming the GOP for "blocking" job creating bills. What a lie. No wonder Congress can't get anything done...master manipulators like Reid and Obama are holding Washington and our economy HOSTAGE.
Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) and Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE) have introduced a jobs bill that will not only create jobs, but it will remove the handcuffs that Obama and Reid have put on Congress. The AGREE (American Growth, Recovery, Empowerment, and Entrepreneurship) Act:
- Is a bipartisan jobs bill both sides can agree on
- Gives veterans $100,000 worth of tax credits if they start a franchise
- Extends a measure allowing businesses to reduce the full cost of property and equipment purchases until 2013
- Extends a tax break for small business stock until 2013
- Extends a research and development tax credit until 2013

To help Obama get re-elected, Harry Reid is delaying 15 bills that would create jobs. By stonewalling these bills, Reid wants to force the House to pass Obama's so-called American Jobs Act. More accurately described as "Stimulus Jr.," this spending bonanza comes with a $447 BILLION DOLLAR price tag and it also increases taxes for job creators. Sounds more like the American Anti-Jobs Act to me.
While Harry Reid gloats at the craftiness of his political ploy, Rubio and Coons have found a way around it. Here's the clever trick: If the bipartisan AGREE Act passes, both Houses it will go to Obama who would of course want to veto it. However, his hands would be tied because he'll have a hard time explaining why he vetoed a bill that passed both the House and the Senate. If he attempts to veto it, his reluctance to work with Congress would be exposed. Remember, this act is bipartisan so it has a good chance of passing.
It's time to put Reid and Obama in their places. While millions of Americans suffer, the only thing they're concerned with is their political careers. Manipulating our political system for personal gain is DEPLORABLE.
Politicians are elected to do what's best for the people, not what's best for themselves. That's why it's critical we fax Congress and tell them to pass the AGREE Act and send these two bottom feeders a strong message that we aren't going to take it anymore.
Rubio said,
"They've been hoping to run against a do-nothing Congress, so maybe they're not excited about Congress actually acting on something like this. There are things that are more important than someone's re-election."
We have never had a president who has shown such callous disregard for the plight of regular folks. Obama could care less about the 14 million people who are unemployed. Instead, he's putting all his energy into devious strategies to help him get re-elected so he can continue destroying our economy. It's time to pass the AGREE Act and get one step closer to getting rid of Obama.
