On Wednesday, I released a statement following reports that McKinsey & Company “repeatedly allowed employees who served pharmaceutical companies, including opioid makers, to also consult for the F.D.A., the drug industry’s primary government regulator.” Read more here

On Monday, I sent a letter to U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Secretary Denis McDonough demanding answers following the department’s vague and evasive response to my January 5, 2022 letter about the Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers, which provides stipends to veterans for caregiving. On Monday, as Senate Select Committee on Intelligence Vice Chairman, I led Republican committee member Senators Richard Burr (R-NC), James Risch (R-ID), Susan Collins (R-ME), Roy Blunt (R-MO), Tom Cotton (R-AR), John Cornyn (R-TX), and Ben Sasse (R-NE) in sending a letter to Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines urging increased intelligence sharing with the Ukrainians. Last Friday, I joined 24 senators and 46 members of the U.S. House of Representatives in sending a letter to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland demanding the U.S. Department of Justice investigate the deaths of babies whose remains were found in a Washington, D.C. home. There is a possibility the babies were the victims of illegal partial-birth aboritions or infanticide. Read more here .

“Senator Marco Rubio agreed and in May of 2020 he sent a letter to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Secretary Marcia Fudge… Silver Oaks Apartments had a failing score of 40 out of 100 in March of 2020. In a recent statement, a representative with Rubio's office said HUD inspected the property in June of 2020 and passed the inspections with a score of 66 out of 100. That is six points above failing.
