WEEKLY UPDATE Dear Friends, Last Friday I, alongside our District Secretary, Cyndie McQuaig, hosted a luncheon in Ft. McCoy to honor Florida’s WWII Veterans. Representative McClain and Senator Baxley each spoke at the event to honor the veterans. I am so thankful for these veterans who risked their lives for our freedom and it was an honor to host this event and hear their stories. Tuesday I passed HB 1213 – Homosassa Special Water District, Citrus County in the State Affairs Committee with 21 yeas and 0 nays. It is on the Special Order Calendar for next Thursday, 15th.

Perhaps the highlight of the week was the Lombardi Trophy for Tampa Bay Buccaneers visiting us at Florida State Capitol.

Wednesday Our District Secretary, Cyndie McQuaig attended a local vaccine drive in Marion County, hosted at the New St. John Baptist Church.

Thursday I presented HB 6093 – Hospitals’ Community Benefit Reporting in the Ways & Means Committee. It passed with 14 yeas and 2 nays.
