1. FreedomWorks for America Activists Sign-Blitz for Justin Amash
Rep Amash is one of the core conservatives in Washington DC. When we
heard that Freedom Works for America was supporting Congressman Justin
Amash in his primary, we felt it our duty to help him in any way we
could. On Saturday,
a group of Northwest Ohio Conservatives lent a hand to Justin Amash by
working in his district, talking to people and putting up 500 yard signs
to prepare for the August 5th primary.
I meet and talked to Rep. Amash almost two years ago now, back when
House Speaker John Boehner removed several Conservative Congressman from
their committees in "The Boehner Purge." There were several Ohio
Conservative leaders at FreedomWorks doing a post mortem on the November
2012 election when someone came in the room and said; "All the
conservatives have just been fired from their committees". See more here...

3. Ted Cruz: Obama Backs Corporate Welfare
To most Americans, the words "Export-Import Bank" don't mean very
much. The DC insiders, cozy with international corporate interests
putting taxpayers on the hook for hundreds of billions of dollars in
subsidies, want to keep it that way, too.
The Export-Import Bank is big businesses' big-government bank backed
by U.S. taxpayers. It sends huge amounts of assistance to foreign
corporations, buyers, and companies that are hostile to our economic and
security interests, but can afford armies of lobbyists to access easy
financing backed by American taxpayers. Read more here...
4. The Long Arm of the Law: Government Demands Access to Microsoft's Servers in Ireland
In a troubling expansion of government snooping, a New York judge ruled Thursday that
Microsoft has to open its servers to federal investigators. What’s
concerning in this case is that the servers in question are not on U.S.
soil—they are located in Ireland. In pursuit of information from
Microsoft, the federal government pulled Microsoft into court to argue
over the government's power to act through a warrant to access
information stored on the company’s overseas servers.
Microsoft, like many US companies such as Google, AT&T, Verizon,
and Apple, have servers around the world that store the private content
of both American and foreign residents. A criminal investigation
resulted in a warrant being issued to collect information held on a
company server in Dublin, Ireland which Microsoft refused to comply with
arguing that U.S. warrants do not apply outside of US territories. Read more here...
5. Obama Worries About Votes Not Economy or Allies
Europe and Ukraine need better natural gas pricing to meet their
energy needs. Today, both locations are dependent on Russia for their
natural gas, which is primarily piped through Ukraine into Europe.
Russia's natural gas is expensive; $10 per million British thermal units
as opposed to American natural gas for $3.75 BTU. Even with the cost of
liquefying and shipping the gas from the United States, our prices are
still less expensive than Russian gas. So, Europe and Ukraine would have
cheaper energy, America would profit, and, most importantly, Russia’s
economy would be severely diminished since half of their revenue comes
from gas and oil.
Diana Furchtgott-Roth, director of Economics21, persuasively
argues that America could substantially hurt Russia’s economy by selling
OUR natural gas to Europe and Ukraine. Understanding the economics and
politics of Russia as well as knowing about America’s supply of natural
gas, Ukraine President Petro Poroshenko pleaded, "We need U.S. natural
gas to shore up our energy supplies so that we cannot be blackmailed by
Moscow. We need a reliable partner and ally to help fuel our nation." Read more here...
6. Keep the IRS' Hands off our Data
In the storm of justifiable outrage over the IRS’ targeting of
conservatives, the willful obstruction of Lois Lerner, the
incompetence/dishonesty of lost emails, and the IRS’ multiple attempts
to pass a regulation that would severely limit the ability of
non-profits to engage in political speech, it’s easy to forget that this
is the same agency that has been tasked with the enforcement of
ObamaCare and the tools it has been given to accomplish this insidious
mission.
I refer, of course, to ObamaCare’s Federal Services Date Hub, a
program whose very name conjures of images of some kind of totalitarian
science fiction techno-future dystopia. Think I exaggerate? Read on....
