Insanely Simple Way to Fix U.S. Sugar Subsidy Problem

It’s
a cliché to say it’s a cliché that the definition of insanity is doing the same
thing over and over again and expecting a different result.
But
it is.
As
Rick Manning of Americans for
Limited Government pointed out in a recent op-ed published by The Hill, there
have been eight separate votes in Congress over the last two years to eliminate
the U.S. sugar program.
All
eight were defeated.
Insane.
“While
railing against these agricultural subsidies may make good direct mail copy,
the frontal assault strategy has utterly and completely failed,” Manning
notes. “So what is a free-market
conservative to do?”
