When It Is Over
Harriet Miers was Bush’s “Emperor Has No Clothes” moment. But it took his own side to do it. It always takes a President’s own side to do him in. And once they start, it becomes hard for them to stop.

Once they have the power to start undermining their own guy’s foundation, they feel powerful, emboldened, and in a second term feel like they might be helping lay the foundations for the successor anyway. So they do it with a mostly clear conscience convinced they’re actually helping the next nominee by shutting down the present President. . . . please click here for the rest of the post

New USA Today / Pew poll: Veterans hate the Bergdahl/terrorist swap.
Mind you, the country in general also dislikes the swap (43/34). But that’s nothing as compared to how veterans feel both about Bose Bergdahl, and the deal that Barack Obama made to bring him back: “Veterans are much more harsh in their assessment of the 28-year-old sergeant. Only 6% of veterans who responded say they sympathized with him, while 33% say they were angry. By 68%-16%, veterans say Obama made the wrong decision.” . . . please click here for the rest of the post

Hillary’s Operation Fast and Furious: al Qaeda edition
Most everyone is familiar with the infamous Operation Fast and Furious wherein the boneheaded Obama Justice Department decided along with the equally boneheaded Department of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives that letting people buy weapons illegally and transfer them to Mexican narco-cartels was just a jim-dandy way of generating public outrage at gun ownership.

Now we’re seeing another phase of this come to light. The guns run to arm al Qaeda in Libya for the purpose of overthrowing Muammar Gadhafi and burnishing Obama and Hillary Clinton’s foreign policy credential have shown up in Afghanistan. . . . please click here for the rest of the post

Wisconsin Police Chief Harasses Tea Party Activist
A Wisconsin police chief used his official and personal computers to harass a Tea Party activist who is suing him in federal court. Confronted by law enforcement investigators about the harassment, the chief initially denied having any knowledge of it. Told of the evidence against him, he admitted he had spent time harassing a private citizen out of spite.  . . . please click here for the rest of the post

Lerner, IRS Caught Colluding with DOJ and FBI, Providing Illegal Taxpayer Data
Still wondering why Lois Lerner took the Fifth or if there is indeed a “smidgen” of corruption in the IRS targeting scandal?

It now appears that the IRS was not only engaged in an illegal witch hunt of conservatives applying for tax-exempt status, but that it was actively pushing criminal investigation of already approved groups. . . . please click here for the rest of the post

Colorado Democrats approve $13 million dollar rate hike to keep Obamacare exchange going
Back in April of 2014 the exchange proposed said tax because running a state healthcare exchange is expensive, and all that sweet, sweet federal bribe subsidy money was going away. Like it does.  It may seem confusing to some why there should be extra fees to cover shortfalls in the exchange, given that there was apparently money for bonuses, for CEO Patty Fontneau but that can easily be answered via a simple application of Shut up, Republican.  After all, don’t people want to keep Fontneau, since she did such a  great job? . . . please click here for the rest of the post

Where conservatives and the Tea Party can win
One of the favorite sports of the GOP establishment these days is predicting the end or the inevitable irrelevance of independent conservative candidates for the House and Senate. The Washington Post’s Jennifer Rubin takes up the cudgel in a story call Where can the tea party win? . . . please click here for the rest of the post

What Obama’s America Has In Common With the Theocracy of Iran
You can tell when a civilization is tidying up for the dirt nap. You can look at its economy. You can look at its marquee cultural institutions. You can look at the level of belief people have in their leaders. Finally, perhaps closest to where the rubber meets the road; you can look at whether anyone in their right mind would want to raise kids in that particular society. All of these indicators suggest that America has lost her way badly. . . . please click here for the rest of the post

The Vine
Now that Americans can see the truth about abortion, thanks to the efforts of countless pro-lifers, states are continuously taking steps to protect the unborn. To date, 9 states have passed laws prohibiting abortions after 20 weeks gestation due to scientific evidence that proves babies in the womb can feel pain at that point. This week brings the welcome news that Florida will be joining those states with a law that bans abortions after viability. Detailed at LifeSiteNews, Florida isn’t the only state working on new measures in the fight for life. . . . please click here for the rest of the post
