Shavuot is traditionally regarded as the time God gave the law to Israel ...

And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they
shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and
there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Revelation 21: 2-4 KJV

Passion For Truth Ministries is a unique ministry that was birthed out of a personal desire to know the truth of the Scriptures
from the perspectives of the authors who wrote them. We are devoted to doing Bible things in Bible ways and getting back
to the Christian Roots of our faith.

Hello friends! We just wanted to send you a quick reminder about our Shavuot celebration tonight! If you are not able to join
us in person, please join us online!! We will be live streaming again tonight at 7:00pm, central. Please join us as we pursue
the presence of our King and worship Him on this Holy Feast Day.

Chag Sameach !!
The Feast of Shavuot (Pentecost) marks the end of the Spring Feasts. It is the climax of the Israelites’ story of redemption,
which started with Passover. God saved and delivered His people by the blood of the Passover Lamb and then brought
them to Mount Sinai to receive the Torah.

It was at this time that YHVH (the God of Israel) betrothed His people. Wedding vows were given there in the presence of
YHVH (when the people spoke as one, saying “all that YHVH has spoken, we will do” – Exodus 19:8) and the marriage contract,
or ketubah, was written down in the form of the Torah. When God’s people walk according to Torah, we as the bride are
choosing to follow our wedding vows. We are saying “I do” to our Bridegroom all over again!

Furthermore, as with all the Spring Feasts, Yeshua prophetically fulfilled this Feast by giving the Holy Spirit to His disciples
on this very day (Acts 2). Shavuot, therefore, celebrates true, biblical worship. It was on this day that God gave both the
Truth of His Word (Torah) and His Spirit, thus enabling His people to worship in both Spirit and Truth: “God is spirit, and
those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth” (John 4:24).

Passion For Truth is a unique ministry that was birthed out of a personal desire to know the truth of the Scriptures from the
perspectives of the authors who wrote them. We are devoted to doing Bible things in Bible ways and getting back to the Christian Roots
of our faith. It is not only our passion to understand God’s Word within its historical and cultural framework, but also to apply
what He teaches us through the Spirit and love of Messiah Yeshua (Jesus).

Who We are
Passion For Truth is a unique ministry that was birthed out of a personal desire to know the truth of the Scriptures from the
perspectives of the authors who wrote them. We are devoted to doing Bible things in Bible ways and getting back to the Christian Roots
of our faith. It is not only our passion to understand God’s Word within its historical and cultural framework, but also to apply what
He teaches us through the Spirit and love of Messiah Yeshua (Jesus).

Mission
Passion for Truth is a ministry devoted to doing Bible things in Bible ways and going beyond the traditions and doctrines of men
and getting back to the Christian Roots of our faith. We do this in part by looking at the scriptures from the original authors’ perspective.
To find our true identity in the Messiah we take seriously the study of His Word, rightly dividing it in its original context, and living out
His truth in the faith and love of Yeshua (Jesus) through establishing strong, healthy individuals, families, and ultimately through
the context of a strong healthy local congregation.

Vision
Passion for Truth intends to be a light to the Nations by bringing them back to their Christian Roots through the Power of His Torah
and Spirit of Yeshua (Jesus) in their own language through weekly live streaming, radio and television broadcasts, social media,
the ministry website, and other PFT resources.

We will be a bridge for the lost Sheep of the House of Israel to come back to the roots of their faith by teaching them their identity,
their instructions, and therefore their purpose with a foundation established in love.

Wishing you a blessed Shavuot (Pentecost)

Within a few hours time, the

Feast of Weeks (Shavuot)

begins here in Israel.

Work grinds to a halt as the Jewish community celebrates the blessing of the new crops.

"On the day of firstfruits, when you present to the LORD an offering of new grain during the Festival of Weeks [Shavuot], hold a sacred assembly and do no regular work."  (Numbers 28:26)

In addition to being a spring harvest feast, Shavuot is also regarded as the time that God gave the Torah to Israel at Mount Sinai, seven weeks after Israel's miraculous exodus from Egypt.

Most Christians know Shavuot as Pentecost, a name which comes from the Bible's command that a 50-day countdown to Shavuot begin on the second day of Passover.

For that reason, Hellenist Jews, who were influenced by Greek culture after the conquests of Alexander the Great, called the holiday Pentecost, from the Greek word pente, meaning fifty.

On this very day almost 2,000 years ago, as the Jewish People were in Jerusalem celebrating Shavuot, God poured out the promised Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) on the first Believers in Yeshua (Jesus).

"When the day of Pentecost came ... all of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them."  (Acts 2:14)

Just as the harvest of first fruits is a tremendous blessing and gift from God, providing for our physical needs, how much more are the Torah and the Ruach, which enable us to reap a harvest of righteousness.

The celebration of the giving of the Torah and the Ruach on the same day, as well as the offering of thanksgiving to God for the first fruits, reveals something wonderful about God's priorities.

God wants us to know His Ways and be empowered by His Ruach to live holy lives, bearing much fruit in Him.

"And I will put My Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes and be careful to obey My rules."  (Ezekiel 36:27)

When the Ruach descended in power, it transformed the Believers there in Jerusalem from the inside out, empowering them to reach Israel and the nations with the Gospel of Yeshua.

As Peter preached on Shavuot in Jerusalem about 3,000 devout Jews came to faith in Yeshua.

"And with many other words he bore witness and continued to exhort them, saying, 'Save yourselves from this crooked generation.'  So those who received his word were immersed, and there were added that day about three thousand souls."  (Acts 2:40
41)

Today, so few of the Jewish People know Him, but you can make a difference.  Please help us reach them with the Good News of Yeshua this Shavuot!

This Shavuot, may the blessings of this life and the life to come be yours.
Happy Shavuot !
