If our offshore waters were opened up for oil and gas exploration, we’d see new jobs and more American energy production. We’re on the verge of taking the first step towards seeing this happen with seismic testing.
What is seismic testing? It’s an underwater surveying technique to discover where oil and natural gas reserves are located. Right now, the Obama Administration is considering allowing it to be used off our Atlantic coast.

seismic testing is conducted, it could lead to the federal government
allowing oil and gas exploration in the Atlantic. What will this do for
our country?
- Create 280,000 jobs
- Grow our economy by up to $23.5 billion a year
- Produce the equivalent of 1.3 million barrels of oil a day
Anti-energy
activists know that, if they stop seismic testing, they will end the
possibility that offshore drilling will ever be allowed. They are making every effort to convince the Obama Administration not to approve seismic testing.
That’s why it’s so important that all Energy Citizens make their voices heard on this issue.
