John Q. Public got his pockets picked last weekend by ObamaCare  bureaucrats.     In a sneaky and illegal maneuver after close of business Friday, the Obama administration proposed a new rule increasing bailout protection for insurance companies that sell ObamaCare  exchange plans. The rule –using taxpayer money, of course -- is designed to protect the companies from losses.  It’s illegal, because no president, including Obama, has the constitutional authority to rewrite the laws. The president’s sworn duty is to “take care that laws are faithfully executed.”   LINK

There are probably only a small handful of you who actually remember the debate about the Panama Canal Treaty of 1977, which ceded control of the Panama Canal back to Panama.
I opposed it at the time; I still oppose it.
In fact, my father and I continue to despise the Senators, such as the late Robert C. Byrd (D.-WV), who deliberately ignored the cries of their constituents and chose to ratify it anyway.
The treaty was signed by Jimmy Carter, perhaps the only other man in our nation’s history to compete with Obama for the title of worst American president. And in another shameful similarity with our current Commander-in-Chief, Carter was also much more concerned with winning the world’s favor than he was in protecting vital American interests at home and abroad.
America purchased the land for the Panama Canal for over $40 million. Not only did American workers and engineers accomplish something which the French ultimately found impossible; they also overcame the scourges of malaria and yellow fever to successfully complete the construction of the canal.
This week I was sadly reminded of the Panama Control Treaty when I learned that the Obama administration is currently in the process of ceding control of the Internet to, as the president defines it, “the global community.”   LINK

Guess the minority thought it wasn't enough?
