Man Writes Confession Letter to His Down Syndrome Daughter: Sorry
I Wanted You Aborted
I just watched a video about a family who had a baby with Downs and this is what the mother said, that it felt like a death.
She said that through her tears.
Her husband wanted a perfect child and he pushed his wife for an abortion.

Radical Activists Attack Catholic Bishops on Abortion
In the past few days, there has been a rash of attacks on the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) from left-wing circles. Led by an extremist pro-abortion website, rhrealitycheck.org, these activists are trying to silence the bishops: the USCCB is fighting for the conscience rights of Catholics against the health care policies of the Obama administration.
Noting that the Congress is
considering a Continuing Resolution and debt ceiling bill, the bishops,
led by Sean Cardinal O’Malley and Archbishop William E. Lori, are
seeking to incorporate this right into such “must-pass” legislation.

Abortion is Not a “Social Issue,” It is a True Human
Rights Issue
The other night, the film “The Social Network” was playing on television. You may remember that the movie was inspired by the founding of one of the most popular socializing experiments of the Internet age — the social networking site known as Facebook.

That got me thinking
about the way the perception of the word “social” has evolved
over time. When you talk about getting social to a Millennial, she may instantly
think of Instagram, Vine, Twitter, and Facebook. A social issue to her might
be how many “likes” her pics got on her page or how many chats
she can conduct online at the same time. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/10/08/abortion-is-not-a-social-issue-it-is-a-true-human-rights-issue/
Scientist Falsely Claims Human Life “Begins” at Birth
A Ph.D. in genetics named Ricki Lewis uses a “DNA science” blog to ask a cogent question: “When Does A Human Life Begin?” She then presents 17 potential time points, from sperm and egg through the joke, “acceptance into medical school.” Two warrant quoting. From the piece:
3. Of the hundreds of sperm surviving
the swim upstream to the oocyte, one jettisons its tail and nuzzles inside the
much larger cell, which obligingly becomes an ovum, completing its own meisosis.
A fertilized ovum = conception. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/10/07/u-s-taxpayer-dollars-going-to-fund-population-control-in-bangladesh/A Ph.D. in genetics named Ricki Lewis uses a “DNA science” blog to ask a cogent question: “When Does A Human Life Begin?” She then presents 17 potential time points, from sperm and egg through the joke, “acceptance into medical school.” Two warrant quoting. Genetics Company Awarded Patent for System to Create Designer Babies
This week the genetics world exploded with discussion about a new patent just issued by the U.S. Patent Office to a California company, 23andMe. 23andMe is a direct-to-consumer genetic testing company that offers genetic information to anyone who sends in a saliva sample and a fee.
23andMe was awarded a patent on their inheritance calculator, a feature where prospective parents can figure out the likely traits their children will have. The controversy surrounds the patent’s extension into the fertility industry where this technology could be used to screen donor egg and sperm to create a child with desired physical attributes. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/10/08/genetics-company-awarded-patent-for-system-to-create-designer-babies/

MSNBC
Host: Supporting Wendy Davis a “Matter of Life and Death”
On Friday’s All In show, as Chris Hayes celebrated Texas Democratic State Senator Wendy Davis’s announcement that she will run for governor, the MSNBC host characterized her run as “literally a matter of life or death for many Texans,” as he lambasted Texas Republicans for opposing Medicaid expansion.

Miley Cyrus, Rihanna and How “Stripper Glam” Leads Teens
to Have Abortions
Do you ever feel like the Universe/God/Whoever is trying to tell you something?
A couple days ago I saw Miley’s
new photos. Apparently she didn’t kill Hannah Montana hard enough at
the VMA’s, so she let notoriously gross photographer/video artist Terry
Richardson take photos of her topless and in various other compromised states.

Forced Abortions in China: The Worst Human Rights Abuse in the World
Last week the news broke of yet another forced abortion in China. In an interview with the UK’s Sky News, Liu Xinwen and her husband Zhou Guoquing revealed that their home was invaded by 20 officials from the Shandong Family Planning Committee who held down Mr. Zhou while his wife was pulled from her bed and taken to a hospital where she was forcibly aborted at six months of pregnancy. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/10/08/forced-abortions-in-china-the-worst-human-rights-abuse-in-the-world

CNN Tells Women to Mention a Past Abortion to Their Doctor
As they say, imagine my surprise. Linda Ronstadt Misrepresents Ineffectiveness of Embryonic Stem
Cells
A few years back when actor Michael J. Fox made a number of ill-informed comments about the “promise” of embryonic stem cells, it was impossible not to cut him some slack. He suffers from Parkinson’s disease and it was only human nature on his part to buy into the PR that somehow embryonic stem cells (ESCs) could cure his Parkinson’s, as well as a host of other nasty diseases. http://www.lifenews.com/2013/10/08/linda-ronstadt-misrepresents-ineffectiveness-of-embryonic-stem-cells/
