ARE THERE ANY HONEST POLITICIANS? IF SO, WHERE ARE THEY?

Crook—“One who makes a living by dishonest methods.

I don’t know if America has ever seen a greater cabal of crooks than those we see occupying positions of powers in this nation.

There was a day when the idea of leadership carried with it an understanding that any, and all, leadership would be recognizable first and foremost by its honesty. Leadership and honesty were synonymous.

It was like a marine and courage, a Hollywood starlet and beauty, and a Doctor’s concern for the patient.

What was that old song my Mom used to sing to me…

“Love and marriage, Love and marriage. Go together like a horse and carriage. This I tell ya, brother. You can’t have one without the other.”

Yep. There was a day when you could not be a leader if you were dishonest.

Well, just like love and marriage have been divorced, honesty and leadership have under gone a legal disillusion as well. In order to be a success in today’s culture you have to be a crook.

Leo Durocher was right when he said “Nice guys finish last.” Today, nice, honest guys can’t get elected.

America is being run by a conga line of crooks.

Leadership, governmental especially, used to be a high calling. And even though many fallible men have held powerful positions, it was incumbent upon them that they practice the highest level of ethics in their actions. Mistakes could be accepted, but dishonesty could not.

Today, dishonest behavior is no longer shameful, but has evolved into a “mistake”, or “miss-speaking” or miss-judgment.” I guess I am old-fashioned but I remember when a lie was a lie and so it was called. In today’s right-side down world calling someone a liar is worse than being one.

Everywhere you look you see a conga line of crooks.

Nothing galls me more than watching our elected officials call themselves “public servants.” The last I checked, true servants do not get paid. “Public service” today is a profitable profession. Sorry, but the lady at the DMV who takes a cigarette break as the line to renew my plates rapidly grows is not a public servant. She is a public employee.

And neither is ANY ELECTED or APPOINTED public official. Can you imagine how few “public servants” we would have if the positions were voluntary? Sorry, I can’t see Harry Reid working for free.

Dishonest leadership was considered so serious that our Founders gave it a separate definition. Lying was a prosecutable offense because lying was unacceptable in our society. But when lying was done by an elected official it was given another term…it was called a “high” crime. Not because it was so terrible, but because the severity of the lying was amped up a few degrees because it was done by someone in a “high” position.

A “high crime” was a lapse in moral judgment by a person in a “high” position such as one entrusted with governmental affairs.

An elected official takes an oath “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, so help me God"

Lying was a violation of that pledge. Perjury wasn’t seen merely as lying, but as a “high crime” because of the violation of an oath by a person in a position that demands great trust. Our Founders knew that lying could not be tolerated, especially among our leadership. Lying is a pattern, a character flaw, a way of doing business. It was a deal-breaker for a “public servant.”

Today, lying is called “political spin.” Bill Clinton was a master at it; in fact, he was respected for the deftness at which he could do it. He lied to his wife. He lied under oath. He lied to the American people.

We elected him twice.

His wife is even worse. I question whether there has ever been a more despicable “public servant” than Hillary Clinton. Whitewater, futures trading, Vince Foster, White House Travel office, The Rose Law Firm, under oath before Congress she replied “I don’t recall” 250 times.

And now Benghazi. Should we be surprised? Does she have a pattern of such behavior?

The Clinton’s lead the Conga line of crooks.

Barack Obama’s entire life is a mystery. How could so little be known about a man who occupies the highest elected position in the world? But what we do know about him displays a pattern of dishonesty. He promised “the most transparent administration in history.”

Check out this list of 75 documented lies by Barry Soetoro. But why would you question anything he says about his past? He is an honest guy. A movie got four men killed. He and Hillary told us so. We know neither of them would do anything dishonest. They hold “high” positions. The “high” position they hold makes what they say true.

John Boehner belongs in the conga line. He wants to end abortion. He wants to shrink government. He fights for “homeschooled” children. He wants to end the wars. He wants to defund Planned Parenthood. But there isn’t anything he can do about it. He only runs the People’s House.

Mitt Romney is pro-life, even though he signed into law $50 co-pay abortions while governor of Taxachusetts. He is against gay marriage even though he “legalized” it while governor of the same Socialist state. His health care plan was the model for Obama Care yet he opposed it as candidate for President. He was a Republican, a conservative, and Christian’s best hope.

It is a conga line of crooks.

Harry Reid entered” public service” in 1982 with a net worth of $1.5 million. Today his “public service” has made him worth at least $10 million. In 2005 his senate buddy Mitch McConnell was worth less than $4 million. Today estimates place him as high as $30 million. Not bad for a guy who never worked in the private sector.

Planned Parenthood receives over $500 million in taxpayer funds to earn a profit from abortion services in the neighborhood of $400 million in their attempt to make abortion “safe, legal, and rare.” They buy the votes of elected officials. There is no “health service” in baby death.

The FED is printing money out of thin air. It has “created” over $2 trillion dollars in fake money since 2010 and continues to print monopoly money at the rate of $85 billion per month. The “banks” and investment companies are “too big to fail,” but the home of unemployed workers are not “too big to foreclose.”

The IRS is a criminal organization. They bully and blackmail through fear and intimidation. No organization in the world can do to a person what the IRS can.
