MUTH'S TRUTHS 03/19/2013

FIRST-BORN ENTERS TEENHOOD WITH A BANG!Kristen 13th birthday 3

Seems like only yesterday, but it was 13 years ago today that my first daughter, Kristen, was born.

And what better way to usher in the “teen years” than a trip toBob Irwin’s The Gun Store in Las Vegas to fire off some lead for the first time in her life!

Yes, I know some misguided people think it’s downright criminal to put a gun in the hands of a 13-year-old. To them I say:

Bite me!

Kristen 13th birthday 2My baby shot a bit high at the demonic clown target on the first two shots with the Glock 19.  But after that it was one head shot after another - including one right between the eyes.

She then switched to a Ruger for the Zombie Woman.

Boom, boom, boom!  Almost every shot a dead-on head shot.

(Must be the part-Sicilian blood from her mother’s side.)

And then the coup de grace; the gun liberals love to hate...

The dreaded AR-15.

Kristen 13th birthday 1I don’t know why people are so scared of this gun. The one Kristen shouldered had a cute little pink stock and grip.  Very lady-like.

But BLAM-O!!  Did my baby do a number of that scarved terrorist hiding behind the sand dune!  Every shot to the head; not one miss.  Like a Navy SEAL.

Now THAT’S gun control!

After that we went to Texas Station for an old-fashioned, all-American breakfast of bacon and eggs.  Helluva a way to celebrate the arrival of teen-hood, I tell ya.

Sure hope this doesn’t upset Nevada gun-grabber Assemblyman William Horne(D-Brady Bunch).  But if it does, I have two words for him:

Bite me!

MODERATE MIKE GANG SHOOTS DOWN GUN RIGHTS PROTECTION BILL

OK, so there’s a bill (AB 196) that would protect Nevadans’ gun rights from any Executive Order that could be issued by the President.  Pretty straight-forward.  After all, any anti-constitutional effort to infringe upon our Second Amendment rights should be done by Democrats in Congress, not unilaterally by POTUS.

Anyway, every Republican member of the state Assembly is co-sponsoring the bill.  But in the state Senate, only three Republicans are listed as co-sponsors: Sens.James SettelmeyerBarbara Cegavske and Don Gustavson.  You know…the conservatives.

Senate Minority Leader “Moderate Mike” Roberson and his gang of Gumby Republicans have opted NOT to lend their support to the bill.  Probably too focused on screwing Nevadans with $1.4 billion worth of tax hikes to be bothered with something as trivial as a core constitutional right, right?

The Moderate Mike Gang, by the way, includes Sens. “Blue Dog Ben” Kieckhefer,Joe “The Nanny” HardyScott HammondGreg BrowerPete “Tax My Meat” Goicoechea.

And Mark Hutchison.  I still can’t figure out what this man is doing with these Gumbies.

DRIVE-BY MUTHINGS

* Republicans should stop being the party of the rich and instead become the party of people who WANT to be rich.  That’s a much bigger demographic than the 1%.  Even bigger than the 47%.

Rand Paul’s boffo performance at CPAC won him the presidential preference poll among attendees.  Marco Rubio came in a close second.  The pair together would make one helluva a ticket in 2016.

* By the way, Rand Paul did NOT say he supported a path to citizenship.  The Associated Press reporter read into his speech what she wanted it to say in order to cause friction among conservatives.  Don’t fall for it.

* Memo to Carson City Republicans and Republicans in the United States Senate:  You are NOT the minority party; you are the OPPOSITION party.

* Constitutional Sheriff and Oathkeeper Richard Mack is scheduled to speak at tomorrow night’s Clark County GOP Central Committee meeting.  A resolution opposing the 2012 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) is also on the agenda.

FAMOUS LAST WORDS

“For liberty to expand, government must shrink.” – Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) at CPAC over the weekend
