MSM ATTACK RYAN WITH LIES AND DISTORTIONS

We warned that this year, in the midst of a crucial election that will decide the fate of our Republic, the liberal media would wage a ruthless war on conservatives.

Mitt Romney's selection of Paul Ryan as his running mate has triggered the leftist media to unleash a rapid barrage of falsehoods and vicious slurs.

Their objective is clear: slime and destroy a decent man before Americans can make up their own minds.

Within minutes of Romney's announcement, Obama's loyal media foot soldiers went to work smearing Ryan and distorting his record:

- ABC's David Kerley regurgitated every major anti-Ryan talking point, "Senator Harry Reid claimed that the pick of Ryan caters to the far right rather than standing with the middle class. Others called Ryan extreme. The ticket, a match made in millionaires' heaven. Ryan, the author of disastrous budgets."

- ABC's David Muir spewed more anti-Ryan talking points, "Ryan is known in the political world for his controversial budget plan that would call for steep cuts and the Obama campaign said it would change Medicare as we know it."

- On CBS, the reliably liberal Bob Schieffer insisted that Paul Ryan "really slashed into social programs."

- NBC's Andrea Mitchell rehashed the "war on women" lie by saying that the Ryan pick "is not a pick for suburban moms. This is not a pick for women," while her NBC colleague Peter Alexander reiterated the Obama campaign's talking point that Ryan wants to impose "cuts in Medicare."

- CNN's Soledad O'Brien claimed that Ryan's plan "rips out a lot of the entitlement spending which will affect the middle class."
