BE AWARE...THE LEFTIST ARE PRONE TO EXTREME VIOLENCE TO GET THEIR WAY!

FRC Shooting Latest Chapter In The Left’s Love Affair With Violence

On the plus side, no one from the mainstream media has come forward to tell us how Sarah Palin and the Tea Parties are responsible for last week’s shooting at the Family Research Council, where a heroic guard was wounded while averting what could have been a blood bath.

Conservative commentary has focused on media hypocrisy. If the jackboot had been on the other foot — if a pro-family activist attempted to commit mass murder at the D.C. Center for the Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual and Transgender Community — it would have been national news for a fortnight at least, and everyone who ever had a mean thought about Barack Obama would have been indicted for creating the proverbial climate of hate.

Commentators on the right pounded the Southern Poverty Law Center (Smears R Us) for listing the Christian lambs of Family Research Council as a hate group, along with neo-Nazis and white supremacists.

While correct, the criticism misses the larger point. The FRC shooting is the latest chapter in the blood-drenched history of the left — from the French Revolution to Occupy Wall Street.

This is the way the left does business — with guillotines, gulags and gas chambers, with bombs, bullets, purges, planned famines and demonizing opponents as a prelude to their slaughter.

Starting with the French Revolution, the original tragedy of modernity, the left has been killing and torturing in the name of humanity for over two centuries. At least Genghis Khan never claimed to be building a better world.

During the Reign of Terror, victims were murdered assembly-line fashion for an accident of birth or holding the wrong ideas. No one knows the exact death toll — probably in the hundreds of thousands. Over 16,000 were guillotined and another 25,000 summarily executed. Despite the popular perception, 72% of the Revolution’s victims were workers or peasants and only 8% aristocrats.

In suppressing the Vendee resistance, the Jacobins tried to wipe out an entire people in the name of liberty, equality and fraternity. An estimated 50,000 civilians were massacred, including 5,000 old men, women, children and priests who were drowned in the Loire at Nantes.

In his monumental history, “Citizens: A Chronicle of the French Revolution,” Harvard historian Simon Schama writes of the Vendee horror: “Every atrocity the time could imagine was meted out to the defenseless population. Women were routinely raped, children killed, both mutilated.”

Maximilien Robespierre, godfather of the Terror, established a rationale for the political murder which would plague the 20th century. “The revolutionary government,” Robespierre decreed, “owes nothing to the enemies of the people but death” and “Terror is only justice, prompt, severe and inflexible.”

In the Red Terror (“Hang — hang without fail, so the people see — no fewer than 100 known kulaks, rich men, bloodsuckers.” V.I. Lenin), the Bolsheviks initiated 74 years of Soviet rule with the execution of tens of thousands of hostages and prisoners, the murder of hundreds of thousands of rebellious workers and peasants (1918-1922), a planned famine which killed 4 million (1921) and the extermination of the Don Cossacks.

“The Black Book of Communism” puts the Russian death-toll directly attributable to Marxism at 20 million. As Stalin famously remarked, “Death solves all problems. No man, no problem.”

Mao turned China into a charnel house, killing 65 million. As Jung Chang and Jon Halliday disclose in “Mao: The Unknown Story,” the Great Helmsman “discovered in himself a love for bloodthirsty thuggery,” while fomenting peasant rebellions in the 1920s, two decades before he gained power. The authors explain, “What Mao had in mind was a completely arid society, devoid of civilization, deprived of representation of human feelings, inhabited by a herd with no sensibility, which would automatically follow his orders.” New Left icon Howard Zinn once boasted, “I stand to the left of Mao.”

The Great Leap Forward and Cultural Revolution were models for the Cambodian genocide, when Pol Pot and his henchmen murdered one in five Cambodians (3 million). Add 2 million North Koreans, 1 million Vietnamese, 1.7 million Africans, 1 million in Eastern Europe and 150,000 in Cuba and the rest of Latin America.

This wasn’t the violence of old (wars of conquest, religious conflicts, dynastic struggles) but violence in the service of ideology — the suppression of the party’s enemies, the construction of a classless society, and meting out revolutionary justice to oppressors, reactionaries and subversives. Today’s left would add polluters, chauvinists, bigots and hate-mongers.

Lacking only the apparatus of the state to carry out their homicidal designs, the American left is no different. The left of FDR, Truman, JFK and Hubert Humphrey was wrong, but generally decent. That changed when McGovernites took over the National Democratic Party in 1972.

That coup was preceded by the New Left’s orgy of violence in the name of peace — SDS, Days of Rage, the Weathermen Underground, the Black Panthers, race riots and bombings. In his 2001 memoir “Fugitive Days,” Obama’s friend Bill Ayers wrote of the day he and his comrades bombed the Pentagon, “Everything was absolutely ideal…. The sky was blue. The birds were singing. And the bastards were finally going to get what was coming to them.”

The Occupy Wall Streeters are the latest bully-boy vanguard of the revolution. Hundreds have been arrested for smashing windows, battling police and assaulting conservatives (most notoriously at the Americans for Prosperity conference in 2011).

In Oakland, last February (to “protest” the city’s refusal to let them set up a permanent headquarters in a convention center), OWS fought cops with rocks and bottles, broke into city hall and committed various acts of vandalism, and burned an American flag. As the flag went up in flames, one of the brownshirts was caught on camera reciting a mock pledge: “I pledge allegiance to the imperialistic, capitalistic, dictatorship. And to the plutocracy for which it stands, privately owned central bank, under the Jews, with inequality and injustice for the 99 (percent).”

That Occupiers have been hailed as youthful idealists and visionaries by Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden and Barack Obama (“You are the reason I ran for office.”) says much about the establishment left’s tolerance for violence in the name of the people.

The left is allied with Islamists, the most violent creatures on the planet. (The Muslim Brotherhood is currently crucifying Christians in Egypt. Obama helped them come to power.) That makes the left partially responsible for their crimes as well.

Political violence doesn’t happen spontaneously. Rhetoric always precedes the firing squad.

•  “Kill all the rich people…. Bring the revolution home. Kill your parents.”Bill Ayers

•  “Every once in a while you need to get out on the streets and get a little bloody when necessary.” Massachusetts Congressman Mike Capuano speaking to 1,000 union goons last year.

•  The proper response to the impeachment of Bill Clinton would have been for “All of us together (to) go down to Washington …. (where) We would stone Henry Hyde to death and we would go to their (GOP congressmen’s) homes and we’d kill their wives and children.” Actor and People for the American Way Board Member Alec Baldwin on the Conan O’Brien Show, 1998.

•  “Rush Limbaugh is looking more and more like Mr. Big (in the Bond film, ‘Live And Let Die’) and at some point, somebody’s going to jam a CO2 pellet into his head and he’s going to explode like a giant blimp… Not yet. But we’ll be there to watch.” Obama groupie and MSNBC talk show host Chris Matthews.

•  If she came to New York City during the 2008 campaign, Sarah Palin would be "gang-raped by my big black brothers," said Comedian Sandra Bernhard, fantasizing about what she’d like to see happen to the GOP Vice Presidential nominee.

•  “Republicans don’t believe in the imagination, partly because so few of them have one, but mostly because it gets in the way of their chosen work, which is to destroy the human race and the planet. Human beings, who have imaginations, can see a recipe for disaster in the making; Republicans, whose goal in life is to profit from disaster and who don’t give a hoot about human beings, either can’t or won’t. Which is why I personally think they should be exterminated before they cause any more harm.” Village Voice critic Michael Feingold.

Ideas have consequences. So do words. In 2009, James Pouillon was shot to death while holding a pro-life sign by a supporter of choice. The same year, black Tea Party activist Kenneth Glandney was beaten so badly by SEIU thugs that he had to be hospitalized. In 2010, heavily armed eco-terrorist James J. Lee invaded The Discovery Channel and threatened to kill hostages unless the station broadcast his manifesto. (“The planet does not need humans.”) And last week, Gay activist Floyd Corkins entered the Family Research Council’s D.C. headquarters with a gun and a backpack full of ammunition.

For leftists, violence isn’t an aberration. It’s their essence. They advocate theft — the violent seizure of property from its rightful owners. The president made a subtle appeal to robbery/redistribution when he told business owners they “didn’t build it.”

They’re anti-democratic. (The only elections they really believe in are those they can steal.) They would deny their opponents fundamental rights, including freedom of speech. (New Left theorist Herbert Marcuse called it “repressive tolerance.”) They worship mass murderers. Posters of Lenin, Mao, Che Gueverra and Ho Chi Minh adorned their college dorm rooms.

You can’t achieve the domination the left lusts for without brute force — coercion, sanctions, reprisals, reeducation camps and genocide. You can’t attempt to remake humanity without applying inhuman methods.

With the first full-fledged leftist in the White House locked in a tight reelection campaign, it’s only surprising the American left has been relatively restrained.

But watch out for the fall, as the campaign heats up and the left faces the prospect of a monumental defeat. In a video posted online, the New Black Panther Party threatens Republicans at their Tampa Nominating Convention, “Our feet will be on your motherf***ing necks.”
