BORDER PATROL NABS FAKE UPS TRUCK SKIRTING CHECKPOINT
Reuters reported Tuesday that U.S. border patrol agents found 13 illegal immigrants in the back of a fake UPS van after they noticed it trying to circumvent an inland highway checkpoint 50 miles from the U.S.-Mexico border. The passengers were identified as Mexican citizens without legal immigration documents, while the driver was a 21-year-old U.S. citizen. This isn’t the first instance that crafty smugglers have attempted to disguise vehicles crossing the border; previous cases include a beer truck and even a police patrol car.
