LEFTISTS EQUATE VOTER ID LAWS TO ‘JIM CROW’ LAWS
Minority Whip Steny Hoyer and his fellow liberals in Congress are saying that voter ID laws are equivalent to poll taxes and Jim Crow laws, arguing that they were deliberate attempts to keep minorities from voting.“We know [that] voter suppression has been taking place, is being taken place, and is planned,” Hoyer said during a congressional forum on the negative impacts of voted ID laws on Monday.
The leftists’ outcry comes in response to many states having introduced or enacted voter identification laws while others have moved to restrict early voting or to require tougher certification for voters registered by activist groups in order to prevent voter fraud.
