CITY OF D.C. WANTS TO BE A 'SANCTUARY CITY'

D.C. COUNCIL PROTECTS ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS FROM DEPORTATION   Yesterday, all 13 D.C. Council members signed a bill barring local police officers from helping federal officials round up illegal immigrants, with the exception of extreme cases. Unsurprisingly, D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray has been applauded by the American Civil Liberties Union for his hands-off approach to enforcing and supporting federal immigration law.
