Now presidential candidate Rick Perry has joined a host of others to call for the resignation or the firing of Attorney General Eric Holder over Fast and Furious. Previously, Michelle Bachman had called for his resignation. At least 51 Congressmen have called for his resignation!
Rick Perry urged: "Mr. Holder's proclaimed ignorance leaves Americans to draw one of two conclusions: Either he is guilty of extraordinary bureaucratic incompetence or he is guilty of a cover-up meant to shield him from the consequences of an operation that has left at least one federal agent dead and continues to imperil many more!"
"Either way, it is high time for Mr. Holder to step down. If he refuses to resign, Mr. Obama must FIRE him immediately!"
Like we have already advocated, Perry went on to explain: "Hundreds of Fast and Furious firearms have been implicated in criminal activity, and another 1,400 firearms are on the street because the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives engaged in gun-walking - the selling of firearms to straw purchasers in an attempt to locate major weapons traffickers in Mexico. This controversial tactic, involving thousands of weapons, means that brave law enforcement personnel along the border remains at risk."
"As details come to light, a larger shadow has been cast on Mr. Holder. When initially asked under oath to say when he first knew about Fast and Furious, Mr. Holder told the House Judiciary Committee on May 3, 'I'm not sure of the exact date, but I probably heard about Fast and Furious for the first time over the last few weeks.'
"But the evidence casts serious doubt over that claim. First, President Obama had commented publicly on the operation, noting on March 22 - more than a month before Mr. Holder's sworn statement - that an inspector general had been assigned to investigate the matter."
Eric Holder must resign; and we must urge Congress to force that resignation!

But, apparently, Attorney General Eric Holder could care less! This past week, he has been off to the Caribbeanfor some Attorney General meetings---wow, what a vacation, in spite of the seriousness of the allegations against him! Mr. Holder continues to DEFY CONGRESS! His stonewalling of Congress is unprecedented! Yet, the Obama administration continues to uphold his stances! Unbelievable! Yet, I know that Barack Obama and Eric Holder go way back. Even now, as Holder faces his final moments as Attorney General, Obama continues to praise his "great work as Attorney General."
Eric Holder is spending a week in the Caribbean in the name of improving law enforcement. Yet, some in Congress say it's a junket that should have been scraped under President Obama's new austerity program.
More importantly, at least 51 U.S. Congressmen have signed up for calling for Eric Holder's resignation over Fast and Furious!
Arizona Republican Representative Trent Franks said that throughout the cour4se of the congressional investigation, Holder has stonewalled investigators and it's time for someone new to lead the Justice Department. "The idea of 'we're going to wait for a subpoena, then we're going to send you some of the documents, we're going to withhold some others, tell us exactly what you want - if you find it first, then we'll tell you if we have it. It's something they continue to do, stringing along, and with all this - keep this in mind - the guns are still out there. The guns are still being used for crimes."
Department of Justice Inspector General Cynthia Schnedar has not signaled at all when she plans to provide a report on the subject. CNN reports that it may be before the end of the year. Reports say that Schnedar handed audio recordings pertinent to the investigation over to subjects without even listening to them.
House oversight committee chairman Rep. Darrell Issa and Iowa Republican Senator Chuck Grassley wrote in a recent letter to Schnedar. "Moreover, your decision to immediately disclose the recordings to those you are investigating creates at least the appearance, if not more, that your inquiry is not sufficiently objective and independent."
Ask for Holder's resignation before he does more damage to the United States!

Last Thursday, Louisiana Republican Rep. Charles Boustany became the 44th (of 51) congressman to demand Attorney General's immediate resignation. With his addition to the growing call for Holder to step down, TEN PERCENT of the U.S. House members are now convinced that the attorney general should lose his job immediately.
Boustany declared: "Attorney General Eric Holder has failed to uphold the duties of his office and must resign immediately. The Attorney General has not been forthright in providing information to Congress relating to the botched program, 'Operation Fast and Furious.'"
"The American people deserve more from the nation's top law enforcement official. His testimony before Congress not only contradicted itself but raised more questions than it answered. This is unacceptable and the Attorney General should be held accountable for his actions."
Holder was held accountable by going to the surf and sands of the Caribbean on a seemingly insignificant law enforcement trip.
U.S. Rep. Darrell Issa, House Oversight and Government Reform Committee chairman and outstanding critic of Holder, said: "One would think that agreements could be signed on a more abbreviated schedule that saves the attorney general time he continually indicates he doesn't have, as well as taxpayer money!"
Critics have said all along that this "Caribbean trip is an ill-advised junket!" He has come home from a five-day visit to Barbados, the Dominican Republic, and Trinidad. His seemingly insignificant junket comes just days after President Obama announced a new austerity program to save supposed billions of dollars in federal spending and travel.

Presidential candidate Perry continued to press the issue:
"Under the attorney general's leadership, our nation's top law enforcement agency proactively armed some of the most dangerous criminal organizations in North America, and at least one American is dead as a direct result. The damage is done to Mr. Holder's credibility is irreparable. Moreover, Mr. Holder never apologized to - or even spoke with - the family of slain Border Patrol Agent Terry until he was confronted by U.S. Senator John Cornyn, a Texas Republican, earlier this month, nearly a year after Terry's murder."
"America simply cannot tolerate an attorney general who arms the very criminals he is supposed to protect us from and then refuses to comfort the grieving parents of a slain Border Patrol agent. Nor can we tolerate a president who lacks the courage to take decisive action in restoring justice to the Department of Justice. IT IS TIME FOR MR. HOLDER TO GO!"

This time,Holder is refusing to provide 11 of the 12 witnesses Grassley and House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. Darrell Issa have requested be made available for interviews.
Grassley reported to the Senate Judiciary Committee executive business meeting on Thursday: "We have requested 12 Justice Department witnesses be made available for transcribed interviews. Despite the department's promises of good faith cooperation, only one witness has been provided so far - former U.S. Attorney Dennis Burke. The department has refused to schedule interviews with any of the other 11 witnesses. That's not the good faith cooperation I was promised, and it is unacceptable."

Even the leftist Washington Post wants to shut this down. They admitted that Holder walked around the truth; but somehow, to them, that doesn't matter! They reported yesterday: "Without a doubt, the operation was a debacle, and it has led to untold bloodshed and friction with Mexico. The ATF's acting chief has been reassigned, and subpoenas are flying on Capitol Hill."
My Friend, it matters to us! We do want the whole truth!
More importantly than LYING to Congress---he is guilty of being an "Accessory to Murder!" The communications tell the story of the lies! The only thing that Holder must do is to.....RESIGN!
