SUPPORT A CANDIDATE NOT A PARTY! ELECT CONSERVATIVES!

I had the opportunity to speak at a local Tea Party event in April, with the Chino Hills Tea Party Group, in Southern CA.  The speech was not about the GOP in anyway, and in prior speeches that I have given, I had not broached the subject of the GOP, nor had I mentioned the word RINO.

However, I decided to include a short segment on the GOP and the Tea Party movement.  FYI, also present and speaking at the meeting was Congressman Gary Miller (R).

If this movement was a 'Republican Movement', then why would millions of Americans, supposedly all Republicans, start acting differently than they had in prior election cycles?  Why wouldn't we simply return to putting signs in our yards, bumper stickers on the cars, and write checks to the RNC?  (Granted, in higher numbers and with more fervor!)

Instead, millions of Americans, and not all Republicans, started to gather in public squares, in front of City/County/State buildings, to first show our frustration, via a simple 'release' that was peaceful, yet an outward action to show others they existed.  The result, overwhelming response from City to Town, from Metropolitan to Rural, we found out we were not the only ones.

If this movement was a 'Republican Movement', then Michael Steele (former RNC Chairman) would be cast in bronze, or chiseled in stone, outside of that 1st Avenue, D.C. building.  Think about it, the 'historic' election of 2010, with all those (R's) getting elected, is akin to a NFL coach winning the super bowl two years in a row!  Was Steele honored? No-he was fired!   Why?  Because the Party machine knew something, and they were afraid.

Typically/historically, for decades 90-94% of incumbents get re-elected.  To the 'machine' it truly is more important to focus on 'incumbents' than the R's or D's, or the principles.  in 2010, this all-important statistic dropped to 87%!  That's right, even before the elections, when the polls showed that 87% of Americans did not approve of Congress (all time high), what happened? 87% of them were re-elected!  That my friends, is a finely tuned and well oiled machine!

In addition to that, the RNC knew better than anyone, that the election results were not under their exclusive control, with fund raising woes at the National level and primary races that were suppose to be 'in the bag'... getting upset by no-name 'Constitutionalists!'.

Steele, had to go, how dare he let the 'machine' get exposed to this.
In comes Reince Priebus as the new Chair of the RNC.  NOT because of any ideology, I'll repeat that, NOT because of any ideology, rather, he is a party machine specialist, the establishment in the party refer to him as a 'technician', a fancy word for 'fund raiser'.  Priebus was brought in to the fix the machine, pure and simple.

Why talk about this? Is it to punish the GOP, the RINO's, is it to shame them? Is it to serve as a foundation for a 3rd Party?  No, no and no.

There are a number of reasons - very important reasons, that we must flush this topic out.  If you don't know the root or the cause of a problem, how can you correctly fix it?  You cannot.

Most (but not all) within the Tea Party movement know and accept statements like those above, that this is not a Republican 'thing'.  However, we have spent a lifetime with two boxers in the ring, the D and the R, and the sport of rooting blindly for the D or R, well, is hard to give up.  But we must, there are millions of Democrats and Independents who did not sign up for Socialism.

We must tell this truth to people outside of the movement, we are in the process of electing R(eformers) not R(epublicans).  We need Patriots, all of them, regardless of their 'registration'.

Another reason to acknowledge this, is to confirm that the power band, the establishment in the RNC is NOT interested in the principles of reform that this movement seeks.  They simply are not!
It's ok to have doubts about this... just keep giving your financial support directly to the candidates, and NOT to the RNC.

For those Republicans (you might be one) who can't handle any criticism of the GOP, ask yourself why?  What is a Party? Are not Principles more important?  This movement is 'using' the Republican machine, it has no intention of creating another one!

When we can come to terms with the facts,
1) this movement is made up of more than republicans
2) this movement needs all Patriots
3) the establishment in both parties has been corrupted

Then, we can more effectively institute change.

One last comment, in case you are tempted to post 'why don't you bash the DNC!?'

Because, the pressure is on the establishment in the RNC, we are using the Republican Party to get the reform that is needed, NOT the Democratic party...  in the 1770s, the pressure and the criticism was on the Whig party.. not the Tories!
