It's High Time to 'Get US out!' of the UN

Fifty years of JBS warnings about the UN are coming true.

At the founding meeting of The John Birch Society in 1958, Robert Welch warned of a plan by our political elites to surrender American sovereignty to international organizations, such as the United Nations:

A part of that plan, of course, is to induce the gradual surrender of American sovereignty, piece by piece and step by step, to various international organizations -- of which the United Nations is the outstanding but far from the only example....

Just a few years later the JBS established its signature action project, "Get US out! of the United Nations," with the longrange goal of creating sufficient understanding about the UN to enable congressional action to end our membership in the UN.

Now fast-forward to the present. On May 28, CQ News reported that "Former Sen. John Kerry’s appointment as secretary of State has given supporters of the Law of the Sea treaty hope that he will revive a longstanding campaign for ratification...."

'In a peer-reviewed paper by the American Institute of Biological Sciences titled “Social Norms and Global Environmental Challenges” (available ahead of print), to be published in the march 2013 edition of the Institute’s yearly journal BioScience, a group of well-known scientists calls on government and scientists to start with the planned social engineering of “norms” and “values” in regards to environmental policies.

In addition, they propose putting into effect all sorts of environmental fines and regulations in the spirit of Agenda 21 to hasten the social acceptance of increased governmental control. Also, they propose that the scientific community as a whole should align itself with government “through a concerted effort to change personal and social norms”.'

On September 11^th I was one of the speakers at a news conference and rally in Tampa, Florida.

About 30 protestors showed up—a microcosm of the arrogance, ignorance, and anger so prevalent among rabid apologists for radical Islam.

One of the young protesters was telling anyone who would listen that Israel was an illegitimate terrorist state and an occupier that was oppressing the Palestinians.

AGENDA 21 IS A METHOD OF STARVATION

This author is on the right track, but fails to mention that the galloping inflation caused by the Fed and the compliant government has already reduced millions of middle class Americans to poverty and have taken a major toll on food purchases. Just look at the gas prices since 2008. But the worst is yet to come. The worst effects of the QEs have been kept under wraps so far. When these unbacked dollars (trillions so far but now set at a steady 40 billion per month for an indefinite period) develop their full inflationary effect, the results will be disastrous.

Free trade agreements with Third World nations have a similar effect on the poor and middle class here. A few years ago, the day after such an agreement was signed with the EU, the prices of many seafood items doubled here in Panama. And another FTA with the US is wreaking havoc with local famers who now must compete with farmers in the US using superior farming techniques. Next in the pipeline: beef. Yet the media invariably portrays free trade agreements as a win-win for all concerned.

Agenda 21 is having its way with us all.

Richard, from the UK (see below), reminds us that the US is very much a part of the games played by the EU elites.

The infamous troika that is responsible for bailing out failed nations includes the IMF, of which we are a naive and credulous member.

If we lend money to Greece or Spain, for example, as part of this international racketeering scheme, and they default, we lose big money. That is you and I, the taxpayers.

We really need to get out of this dangerous high-stakes casino game by leaving the IMF.

We don't owe Greece or Spain a dime!

But if it does happen, we could sue the eurozone, because Greece was allowed to enter it even though it was widely known that they had cooked the books to be eligible. In other words, it was fraud.

Curtailing the American fishing industry with "reductions in over capitalization" "Marine Protected Areas" and "Catch Shares- in which a limited number of fishermen will be allowed to work". Coupled with extremely low recreational and commercial harvest limits based on "the Precautionary Principal" all out of the UN's Agenda 21 is just a small part of the overall picture. The overall big picture was described explicitly by a high UN official, Maurice Strong when he said that because we consume too much of the earth's resources and as a result are causing all the global problems "...isn't it our responsibility to bring about the collapse of the industrialized countries?"

In the wake of the murder of U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens and the Benghazi attacks against American citizens, Barack Obama stood in front of the U.N. and representatives of Iran and other despotisms yesterday and said: 

"The Future Must Not Belong To Those Who Slander the Prophet of Islam." 

This was a coded apology for the cartoonish video that this administration continues to believe, in the face of all evidence to the contrary, was the cause of attacks against U.S. diplomatic facilities in Libya and Egypt. The administration's delusion that impoliteness about the Prophet, and not planned Islamic terrorism, is the actual cause of the jihad against us. 

This abject appearance by the President before the U.N. was part of a move inside this administration to appease Muslim nations who have begun an offensive to suffocate free speech about the violence and genocide committed in the name of Islam. The U.S. is slowly but certainly accommodating the view that free speech, when it comes to religious (i.e. Muslim) matters, is suspect. We have reached this point, in large part, because of the growing success of the idea that any criticism of Islam is actually pathology, rather than a legitimate exercise of free speech. It is, in other words, "Islamophobia."
