Listen to the full interview here .  On Tuesday, I sent a letter urging President Joe Biden to remove unnecessary bureaucratic hurdles ahead of the 2022 Atlantic Hurricane Season. Read more here .  On Thursday, I released a statement after four nominees for the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board confirmed in writing, “it is unfitting for Americans to invest in companies from China or elsewhere that undermine U.S. national security.” Read more here .  On Tuesday, I joined Senator Steve Daines (R-MT) and our colleagues in sending a letter to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) pledging to oppose any funding bill that would undermine the historically bipartisan Hyde Amendment, which prohibits taxpayer funding for abortions, or any other pro-life protections. Read more here .  On Tuesday, I sent a letter to Chief Executive Officer of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) Scott Nathan regarding the DFC’s use of taxpayer funds to bankroll international projects focused on climate change and gender equity instead of facilitating its congressionally-mandated mission of advancing the United States’ development and foreign policy goals.
