Legislators in Annapolis Attempt Last Desperate Attempt - "Dignity Not Detention" Anti-Citizen Legislation Citizen Action Can Make a Difference

The Time For Action Is Now! Sanctuary Bills Are Still In Play! Please contact your legislators in the MD House and Senate and tell them to oppose the Dignity not Detention Act (HB 16/SB 478). The MD legislature is meeting all day up to midnight. So please take action ASAP. MESSAGE FROM FAIR I am reaching out to you again today because I need your help right away! The Maryland General Assembly is supposed to adjourn tonight but they are intent on passing a bill that will place a greater emphasis on the welfare of illegal aliens than the well-being and safety of citizens and legal immigrants. The Maryland legislature is considering the Dignity Not Detention Act that prohibits state and local jurisdictions from entering into agreements with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). It would also prohibit ICE from operating any detention facilities within the state. While this legislation is horrible on its own, the Maryland legislature is considering amending it with the so-called Trust Act, which provides sanctuary to criminal aliens, shielding them from deportation and allowing them to continue to live in Maryland communities and commit additional crimes. Legislators should not pass a bill that tells illegal aliens that despite violating federal law, state and local officials will look the other way when it comes to their immigration status. It is shocking that Maryland legislators would consider such a reckless and dangerous legislation that would attract more illegal aliens into the state and cost taxpayers more money. Please contact your legislators right away and urge them to oppose the Dignity Not Detention Act at all costs. Your efforts truly make a difference! What You Can Do? Report to Help Save Maryland Keep tabs on recent arrivals of illegal aliens to your community. Report to HSM numbers of arrivals, location, group(s) supporting the housing of illegals. Report increased numbers of students being entered into the Maryland Public School System who require ESOL and other non-citizen needed support programs (linguistic experts, tutors, psychological counseling, vaccinations, etc.). Also report if any current programs and services in the schools are being cut to free up resources for the incoming illegals. Detail any MS-13 and other Hispanic gang activities and violence impacting your neighborhood. With more foot soldiers arriving daily, local gang leaders need to keep them busy.
