PRAISE
Dear Heavenly Father,

What a difference a month makes! With the Corona Virus pandemic and physical distancing, America is in the most unusual of circumstances. Yet, Hebrews 13:8 tells us You are “the same yesterday, today and tomorrow,” and that is where we can hang our praises: on the steadfast, never-ending, always-abiding, ever-lasting, love of God. We praise Your faithfulness to Your creation. You have promised to never leave us or forsake us. We praise you for Your kindness and goodness during this time. We praise You for bringing our countrymen back to the truth that only God can save us—either now, or eternally. It is sin in the world that causes viruses, not You, Lord. But, in the midst of adversity, we praise You for Your promised blessings as we return to You.

REPENTANCE PRAYER
Dear Lord,
April overflows with Your grace and mercy, with Passover beginning on the 8th and Easter falling this year on April 12th.  With the pandemic upon us, this month serves as an apt and Divine opportunity to actively practice 2 Chronicles 7:14: to humble ourselves, pray, seek Your face, and turn from our evil ways. We remind You of Your promise to hear from Heaven, forgive our sin, and heal our land. We admit our need for a national Passover of deliverance and an experience of the Easter’s Resurrection power. As the Biblical worldview in America falls to an all-time low, may Your body, the Church, truly humble ourselves before You—both individually and corporately—and see a revival that strongly and surely shifts America back to You.
In Jesus’s Name, Amen.

PRAYER FOR AMERICA
There is a spiritual awakening underway in Washington, DC and at the White House, which is often lost in the midst of the daily negative news out of the nation’s capital. Some of the most powerful people in America have been gathering weekly to learn more about God's Word. In fact, there is now reported to be a Trump Cabinet Bible study. It is making the news as what has been called, “the most evangelical Cabinet in history.” Ralph Drollinger founded Capitol Ministries with the idea that if you change the hearts of lawmakers, then their Christian worldview will guide them to make good policies. He started Bible studies in 40 state capitals and a number of foreign capitals. He teaches weekly studies in the U.S. House and Senate and now leads about a dozen members of President Trump's Cabinet in weekly studies of the Scriptures.

We pray for Ralph Drollinger as he impacts leaders in the nation’s capital and for a spiritual reawakening in the Washington, DC and across America.

PRAY FOR PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP AND HIS ADMINISTRATION

The Food and Drug Administration issued an emergency-use authorization for a pair of anti-malaria drugs as health officials’ work to combat the spread of the COVID-19 virus across the country.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention denied claims from lawmakers that President Trump had slashed funding to the department’s anti-pandemic efforts as funding for global health programs were provided by Congress.

We pray for President Trump and all the members of the coronavirus task force who are working tirelessly on addressing the pandemic in America.

PRAY FOR OUR CONGRESSIONAL LEADERS

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi said the U.S. needs further economic relief, including bigger direct payments to Americans, additional funding for the food stamp program, and some of the more controversial items stricken from the last go-round—emissions restrictions on airlines and financial support for Planned Parenthood.
Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri has called for an international investigation to hold China to account for the COVID-19 crisis, and for restitution from Beijing pay for lives lost and economies destroyed.

We pray for members of Congress to be able to continue to work together on a bipartisan basis to “battle the war” against the COVID-19 virus.

PRAY FOR OUR JUDICIARY NEEDS

Supreme Court Justices ruled 6-3 that states are free to abandon the insanity defense for accused criminals who contend they did not know right from wrong, upholding a Kansas law that essentially allows consideration of mental state only at the sentencing phase of a trial.
The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has been ordered by the Supreme Court to take a second look at a $100 billion lawsuit ruling that accused a cable television operator of discrimination in its selection of channel contracts.

We pray for the nine justices of the Supreme Court to remain healthy and avoid the coronavirus.

WARS AND TERRORISM
The Afghan government and Taliban are utilizing technology with virtual Skype meetings facilitated by the U.S. and Qatar as the peace agreement signed by the Taliban appears to have been ignored. The U.S.-led coalition in Iraq withdrew from a military base in the north, which is the same base that was the subject of a rocket attack in late December by Iranian-backed Iraqi militia groups.

We pray that the diplomatic activities between the Taliban and Afghan government will take a firm hold and peace can be achieved.

FOREIGN INTERESTS AND CONFLICTS
The North Korean regime, which claims that the country is one of only a few in the world without coronavirus cases, is reportedly seeking help with testing and other medical aid, since what they have is “insufficient” in the event of contagion.
The U.S. government has charged Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and several other Venezuelan officials of involvement in drug trafficking. The socialist leader, who seized control of the National Assembly earlier this year, already faces U.S. sanctions.

We pray for the leaders of nations who have opposed the United States to return to negotiations.

ISRAEL AND THE MIDDLE EAST
Israel appeared headed for a unity government late last week after opposition leader Benny Gantz moved toward an agreement with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, bringing resolution to a nearly one-year long political deadlock.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has entered self-isolation after a parliamentary aide tested positive for the coronavirus, although the prime minister previously tested negative. He will undergo another test, he said.

We pray that the government of Israel would be able to organize itself under a single leader.
THE ECONOMY
Gasoline prices at U.S. pumps plummeted to their lowest in years because of increased production of crude oil overseas and a lower demand linked to the COVID-19 pandemic internationally and at home.
U.S. consumer sentiment plunged in March as the global coronavirus pandemic weighed on the outlook for the economy, as economists around the world project the possibility of an international recession.

We pray for workers from many businesses across the country who have been laid off due to closures as a response to the coronavirus outbreak.

ACROSS THE STATES

An expansion of N95 face mask manufacturing at Honeywell’s Smithfield, Rhode Island, facility is on track to create more than 500 new jobs, the state’s governor and President Trump announced.
An Idaho lawmaker led a church service on Sunday despite a statewide state-at-home order by Governor Brad Little to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. It was not reported how many congregants attended the service.
Governor John Carney ordered out-of-state travelers to Delaware to immediately self-quarantine for 14-days to fight the spread of the coronavirus. The 14-day period is measured from the time of entry into the state or for the duration of the individual’s presence there, whichever is shorter.

We pray for unity and integrity for all state leaders as they work with President Trump, officials from the federal government, and local citizens in response to the outbreak.

MARRIAGE BETWEEN ONE MAN AND ONE WOMAN

Lord, we acknowledge that the family is Your idea and marriage is intended to be a lifelong, divinely instituted covenant between one man and one woman. So, we pray that Your people would not renegotiate or redefine marriage and the family according to their wants and desires, but rather they would be called to preserve and respect what you have Divinely instituted. We thank you for establishing marriage to be a secure and stable environment for raising children.

We pray our government upholds Your definition of marriage, and the Church teaches and speaks out in its support.

SEX — LIES — LIFE FROM CONCEPTION

Lord, Together with Your gift of marriage comes Your gift of sex. We pray that as a society we would follow Your plan for intimacy inside of the convent of marriage. By following Your plan, it would virtually eliminate rape, prostitution, adultery, sexually transmitted disease, abortions and divorce. We pray we would not be fooled by the enemy into thinking our human nature should rule our lives, but we would see Your laws as loving and keeping us from heartache and disaster. Please raise up Christians to support truth, redemption and repentance in America.

SALT AND LIGHT PRAYER FOR OUR COUNTRY

God, we pray that you would call this nation together and unite your people to stand for truth.  We pray that those appointed into office would stand to fight for your justice and that it would prevail over evil. That we would turn away from “Political Correctness” and once again become “Biblically Correct”.

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place. I have chosen and consecrated this temple so that my Name may be there forever. My eyes and my heart will always be there” — 2 Chronicles 7:14-16 (NKJV).

MISSION PRAYER OF SALT AND LIGHT

“Therefore, I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus” — 1 Timothy 2:1-5 (NKJV).
