NEWS FROM THE SECOND DISTRICT
Dear Friend, Our nation and community continues to battle COVID-19. We remain grateful for our healthcare workers and those who are on the front lines of treating those infected, preventing further spread and researching treatments and vaccines for this virus. I am encouraged by our greater understanding of the virus and the meaningful steps we are taking to treat it. President Trump continues to communicate his Administration's response. Congress passed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act which was signed by the President and will provide tangible relief for all Americans as we continue to fight this pandemic together.
Please read about my week below:
COVID-19 Update: The CARES Act Last week, the House passed the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act and it was signed by President Trump shortly thereafter. The CARES Act is the third phase of the response to COVID-19 and provides direct support for American families, assistance for small businesses and support for larger industries. It arms our medical field with the resources our professionals desperately need, including funding for personal protective equipment and expansive research for vaccines and treatments. Our healthcare workers, first-responders, servicemembers, veterans, small business owners, large industries, students, and parents will all see the benefits of this stimulus package. While we continue to work together to fight this pandemic, please use the resources below for updates and further information on how the CARES Act will help you and your family through this time.

Interview with the Panama City News Herald I recently joined the Panama City News Herald and shared my thoughts on our nation and community's recovery from COVID-19. We are seeing a robust response that will be strengthened by the third stimulus package signed by the President.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve you in Congress!
Sincerely,
Dr. Neal Dunn Member of Congress

Constituent Casework CornerAfter the United States Postal Service (USPS) didn’t process three hardship requests that each included a note and prescription from their doctor about the need for mail delivery at their door, the constituent contacted my office. We were able to work with USPS to have the local Postmaster process and approve the hardship request within a week.
