It is to accrete and aggregate political power to defend the interests of the back room power brokers, according to Mr. Carville. Those in the Dem Oh'Crap Potty, many of whom are besotted with pseudo-socialist fluff and snowflakery-fakery, need to quickly extract their soggy heads from their swampy derrieres.
If you have family or friends who are "progressives" do your best to help nudge them back to realty. In the long run, it will not just help them, it will help you, too.
