The largest and most expensive in the world .. Shocking secrets about the compound of the US embassy in Baghdad

2020-01-01

The importance of the US embassy in Iraq does not lie only in its political value and its location in the Middle East. The embassy that was stormed yesterday by the crowd protesters has characteristics that make it unique.

According to a report by "Fox News" network, the US embassy in Baghdad is the largest around the world, as it is the same size as the Vatican City, and the embassy was established on an area of 104 acres, where it is considered the largest of the largest American embassy in the past (the Yerevan embassy) about five times.

Thousands of employees

The embassy was opened in January 2009, after a series of construction operations costing more than $ 750 million, to accommodate approximately 16,000 employees and contractors.

The embassy complex is located on the Tigris River, west of the 14th of July Bridge. It consists of 21 buildings, with an area of approximately 80 soccer fields, making it larger than the United Nations Complex in New York.

Playgrounds and lounges

The embassy complex consists of five main sections, which are six housing complexes, water and waste facilities, a power station, two diplomatic buildings, and an entertainment section.

The embassy also contains theaters, restaurants, a shopping center, swimming pool, gym, basketball and soccer fields, and apartment complexes.

Protection

And the Marines are protecting the American embassy in Baghdad, which has strengthened its building structures more than two and a half times the number of other embassies, in addition to containing five high security entrances and an emergency entrance, according to a report by "CNBC News".

The engineering design of the embassy was not published publicly, but it was designed with capabilities that guarantee it self-sufficiency in energy and water, in light of the electricity and water cuts in Baghdad, and the security disturbances that erupt from time to time.

Exceptional immunization

The fence surrounding the embassy is at least 9 feet high, and is made of reinforced concrete that is strong enough to disperse the force of the blast from a car bomb, missile, or mortar attack.

From the inside, the embassy was exceptionally fortified, as it was designed as an American fortress against biological bombs, as it was equipped with an air purification system from any chemical or biological attack, in addition to small windows that look like cracks.

Five thousand officials

The American Embassy is located in the Green Zone in Baghdad, which has an area of about 10 square kilometers, and it contained thousands of housing units. Currently, the owners receive compensation every month, in exchange for the exploitation of their homes.

The Green Zone is considered one of the safest areas in Baghdad, and about five thousand officials and a civilian contractor are currently residing in it. It is surrounded by concrete walls and barbed walls and has many checkpoints, and is surrounded by the Tigris River from the south and east sides. LINK

Exciting details about the storming of the American embassy: Maesh militias paid $ 35 for each component involved in the incident

Wednesday, January 01, 2020 08:33 PM

Observers revealed exciting details in the process of storming the ISIS terrorist militia against the American embassy in Baghdad, where the militias involved three thousand people in the storming for $ 35 per item.

Observers emphasized that this is not new to those terrorist militias loyal to Iran, as some are exploited in exchange for cheap money to carry out these sordid purposes.

The incident showed the besieging of the American embassy in Baghdad showed the extent of the power and influence of the forces loyal to Iran in Iraq, in front of the weakness of the state and its security services and its inability to implement its international obligations to protect diplomatic missions.

For its part, the New York Times reported that the Iraqi government "intentionally allowed protesters from the Hashd militia to enter the Green Zone and demonstrate in front of the US embassy building and attack it."

The newspaper added in a report that "the Iraqi government allowed members of the crowd to enter the fortified Green Zone on Tuesday, which allowed the protest to take place, and showed Iran's strong influence as well as the government’s difficulty in controlling these ."

She noted that "their ability to storm the most heavily guarded areas in Baghdad indicates that they have obtained at least implicit permission from Iraqi security officials sympathetic to their demands."

For his part, the leader of the Salvation and Development Front, Atheel al-Nujaifi, said in a press statement that Tehran was financing the militias from Iraqi, not Iranian, funds, and the Iraqi funded sources are still available through the economic offices they have and their ideological parties.

As well as from the corruption funds that were looted from the Iraqi state, such as oil, and the sale of currency in auctions of the Central Bank, which is a major source for financing Iran's wars abroad.

Al-Nujaifi also confirmed that these funds are stolen from the money of the Iraqi state, and the militias are funded by them to support the Iranian revolution in all its arms.

He pointed out that these militias beat the unarmed Iraqi demonstrators with their weapons, killed and injured thousands of them, only because they demanded their legitimate rights, and that these militias possess a religious belief that is to preserve the authority and power of the Iranian revolution at all costs and whatever blood is shed to maintain its control, especially in Iraq. LINK

Parliamentary Finance: The salaries of 2020 will exceed 52 trillion dinars

08:52 - 01/01/2020

The decision of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Ahmed Suleiman Al-Saffar, stated on Wednesday that Iraq spent 38 trillion dinars in salaries for employees, while it would need 52 trillion dinars in order to cover the salaries of employees in 2020, pointing out that the quantities of exported oil exceed what is planned in the budget and thus will benefit from a difference Source quantities and the price difference specified in the budget to cover the deficit and prepare a supplementary budget.

Al-Saffar said in a statement to "Information", that "the legislator often looks for the worst in preparing the budget and determining the deficit that has occurred in it, as whatever is mentioned of a number related to the deficit is a reduced number, where the difference in the price of selling oil will be taken advantage of by preparing a supplementary budget."

He added that "the amount of oil specified for export in the budget amounted to 3 million and 800 thousand barrels, while the exported oil is more than this amount, which will provide large sums to Iraq that will be used to reduce the deficit rate in addition to creating a supplementary budget as well."

He explained that "salaries reached 38 trillion dinars in the past year, while in 2020 they will exceed 52 trillion dinars, while Iraq will proceed with a 12/1 budget until the new budget is approved." LINK
