Legislation Introduced…

  • I joined Senators Mike Lee (R-UT), Tom Cotton (R-AR), Rand Paul (R-KY), Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), and Ted Cruz (R-TX) in reintroducing the Protecting American Jobs Act, a bill that would transfer the power to hear and adjudicate labor disputes from the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) back to federal courts, in line with the court system established by the Constitution.
  • I, along with Chris Murphy (D-CT), introduced the ELEVATE Act (S.2761), a bicameral legislation that will ensure states receive the federal funding necessary to provide high-quality instruction to students learning English. My broadcast quality video message discussing the bill can be found here.
  • I joined Senators James Lankford (R-OK), Jim Inhofe  (R-OK), and Maggie Hassan (D-NH) in introducing the Harmless Error Lesser Penalty (HELP) for Small Businesses Act. This simple, straight-forward, bipartisan good government bill would waive fines for first-time paperwork violations by small businesses, excluding fines for violations that endanger the public health or safety, criminal activity, IRS enforcement, and issues that could cause harm to the public interest.

Coming up...

  • My staff will host Mobile Office Hours next week to assist constituents with federal casework issues in their communities. More information and locations near you here.
