Late last week, Attorney General Jeff Sessions told Republican leaders that he has commissioned a senior federal prosecutor to work outside of Washington to handle their concerns over the Clinton-FBI-Obama-DNC-FISA scandal. A.G. Sessions contends that a special counsel is warranted only in "extraordinary circumstances."

Representative Jim Jordan's response was on target during a Fox News interview:

   

"James Comey's been fired; Deputy Director Andrew McCabe has been fired; Jim Baker, former chief counsel of the FBI, has been demoted and reassigned; Peter Strzok, former deputy head of counterintelligence, has been demoted and reassigned; and Lisa Page, former FBI counsel, has been demoted and reassigned. If those aren't extraordinary circumstances warranting a second special counsel, I don't know what the heck is."

Add these facts to the mix:

• A presidential candidate (Hillary Clinton) funded fabricated, unsubstantiated research (the infamous dossier) which became the basis of an FBI investigation against President Trump. According to a Russian billionaire, George Soros funded Fusion GPS, the firm that crafted the Christopher Steele dossier used to obtain the FISA warrant.

• The FBI and the DOJ were weaponized during the Obama administration to take down the Trump presidency.

• Text messages between senior FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page exposed a potential DOJ/FBI cover-up that likely extends to the Obama White House.

How much more "extraordinary" must it be to warrant the appointment of a special counsel and to hold people accountable for their actions?
