Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoigu announced Monday that the “humanitarian pause” President Vladimir Putin has ordered to be enforced five hours a day in the besieged enclave of Ghouta would go into effectTuesday, 27 February 2018 from 9am to 2pm local time.
Russia will also help set an evacuation route for civilians.
The announcement from Moscow came after at least 29 people were killed in the rebel enclave despite the UN Security Council resolution calling for a 30-day ceasefire passed unanimously on Saturday.

A military closure will be imposed on the West Bank and the Gaza border crossings will be shut for the Jewish Purim festival this week.
The restrictions will be in force from Tuesday midnight until Saturdaynight midnight.
Crossings into Israel will be allowed in exceptional cases, such as pressing humanitarian or medical emergencies only.

Canada’s opposition Conservatives said Monday they would follow the US lead and recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel if they beat the wacky Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberals in the next election in 2019.
Isn't it funny how in the Bible it says that tiny, unremarkable, landlocked Jerusalem would be the stone that brings the entire world to its knees?
It's preposterous self-aggrandisement, as the Liberals and the atheists would say.
And yet, here we are in 2018 and what is the defining position in world politics today?
It's where you stand on Jerusalem. Imagine that, the Bible is right again...and again, and again.
“Canada’s Conservatives recognise the obvious fact that Israel, like every other sovereign nation, has a right to determine where its capital is located,” the party said on its website.
As such, a Tory government led by Andrew Scheer [pictured above top] “will recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s capital when we form government in 2019,” it said.
The Conservatives held power from 2006 until 2015 when they were toppled by the Liberals in a general election.
After trailing Justin Trudeau’s Liberals in public opinion polls over the past two and a half years, the Tories narrowed the gap to within five percentage points in the latest surveys.
The embarrassing arrival of Trudeau and his family last week on an official visit to India [pictured above] when he appeared in full Indian garb, complete with the Hindu red dot on the forehead, could well explain the polls today.
Great outcry ensued and the next day he was back in a sombre blue suit! Such a man fully deserves to lose government and soon.
Billy Graham & The Jews…..

Strangely and unexpectedly, Billy Graham will be buried on the upcoming Purim festival, a Jewish holiday that signalled the hidden beginnings of a redemption process that culminated in the building of the Second Hebrew Temple.
It also celebrated the death of the anti-Semite, Haman. This could be more than a coincidence?
Although he later did apologise, Graham's anti-Semitic slur [See picture above] caught on tape in Richard Nixon's oval office all those years ago, still grates.
Graham's pioneering of a new framework for Jewish-Christian relations based on not proselytising to Jews was both revolutionary, and wicked.
At the time it changed a millennium of difficult interactions between the two religions.
This was expressed by Reverend Graham himself in his description of his first visit to Israel in 1960 at the behest of his friend, former US President Dwight Eisenhower.
"When I first took a preaching tour of Israel, I stayed with Mrs. Golda Meir, who was then foreign secretary, and promised her that I was not there to proselytise," Graham wrote of that trip.
"Rather, I was there to thank the Jewish people for proselytising me."
Rabbi Tuly Weisz, [pictured below] director of Israel365 and publisher ofBreaking Israel News, believes that Reverend Graham was a revolutionaryin relating to Jews and Judaism in this manner.
"This approach by Reverend Graham's went contrary to his background as an Evangelical," Rabbi Weisz told Breaking Israel News.
In an upcoming editorial in the Jerusalem Post this week, Rabbi Weisz writes that "Graham was one of the first Christian leaders to publicly acknowledge the debt of gratitude owed toward Judaism and to move Evangelicals away from evangelising Jews."
Tommy Waller, [pictured below] the founder of "Hayovel," an organisation that brings Christian volunteers to work in the vineyards of Samaria, butnever engages in evangelising the Jews, never met Reverend Graham but views him as one of the pioneers of the evangelical Christian movement that his organisation is part of.
[How can you identify as an Evangelical, and yet refuse to evangelise?]
In particular, Waller agrees with Rabbi Weisz that Reverend Graham'spositive relationship with the Jews was a revolution in the Christian world.
"Reverend Graham had a huge respect for the Jewish people and Jewish identity," Waller says. "There was a gospel [we reckon it still is?] that if you agree with Christianity, then you can be saved. This was exemplified in the [Roman Catholic]Inquisition and a lot of Christians [correctly?] still operate from this assumption." [bracketed comments ours - Ed]
"The change in Christianity happened when we witnessed Israel become a nation in 1947 and we realised we were seeing God move outside of Christian dogma," Waller explained.

But what of this?

Just as well the Apostle Paul was not of the same evil mind as the likes of Billy Graham and Tommy Waller?
Paul preached the gospel of Jesus Christ to his countrymen and paid with his life for being so brave as to do so.
Yet many were saved through his FAITHFUL preaching of the gospel revealing salvation – unlike those who refuse to present Israel with her Messiah in our day?
