While there is nothing to disagree with here, I would not advise US politicians to try and drive a wedge between Russia and China, simply because this will not work. This attempt to divide the 2 countries has been ongoing for a half century. It is the motivation behind our original policy of most favored nation status for China, which has harmed the US economy as much as any other factor. http://laiglesforum.
There is no reason to believe that siding with Russia to hurt its partner China will produce any better results than doing the inverse.
