SERMON - THE BOOK OF REVELATION IN WORDS OF UNDERSTANDING part 14

The Book of Revelation
In
Words of Understanding
Part 14

We are at the point in time is our learning the truth revealed in God’s Word Book of Revelation where the 7th trumpet is to sound. This is a critical time in our lives as the Second Coming is at hand.

Many men of great learning and some that learned by simply following God’s Word have attempted to name a date certain of the End of the earth as it exists at this moment. Many false prophets have named dates, times and made a great deal of their ‘prophesies’ as to The End. We have seen the Hale Bop suicides, the French Alps suicides and other events where men claimed knowledge superior to that of Jesus Christ.

The founder of the Latter Day Saints gatherings, Joseph Smith, claimed to be a prophet of God and named a date specific for the End. Well, we continue to exist. To get God’s Word and the truth read Matthew 24:36. This ‘so-called’ prophet was wrong as have been any that seek to disregard God’s Word.

Let us now learn of God’s Word regarding to the 7th trumpet.

15The seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, which said:
"The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ,
and he will reign for ever and ever." 16And the twenty-four elders, who were seated on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God, 17saying:
"We give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty,
the One who is and who was,
because you have taken your great power
      and have begun to reign.
18The nations were angry; and your wrath has come.
The time has come for judging the dead,
and for rewarding your servants the prophets
and your saints and those who reverence your name,
      both small and great—
and for destroying those who destroy the earth."
19Then God's temple in heaven was opened, and within his temple was seen the ark of his covenant. And there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake and a great hailstorm.
This period of time represents the awakening of men to the Word of God. Almost as a revival renewed fervor was experienced for God’s gifts to men. Pastors, Preachers and even scientists are convinced of the End being in sight.

We know of the President of Iran and his efforts to acquire a nuclear weapon. We have heard TV programs that aired this man saying that, “I am destined to see the end of the world and unleash the powers to accomplish this goal.” We are aware of terrorists that seek to kill even if it means their own death through suicide. Try as we might the vast number of our people cannot be convinced that this madman seeks to destroy the world. So, we must be prepared for the end and live by God’s Word and shed our fears.

In reading Verses 16 and 17, we learn of the worship given God by the Elders as they praise Him for having, “taken Your great power and have begun to reign.”

Indeed God is using His mighty powers to reveal to His servants the truth of what His Word is truly about.

The “nations were angry” signifies the unrest here on earth. In looking at the events of today we see unrest. That unrest is in our cultural differences that unrest is in our belief systems, that unrest can be partially attributed to the financial greed of today that is resulting in theft of comfort to so very many people. Anger abounds and though justified by the ill conceived governmental legislations here in the US , those same problems are seen to be world wide.

In rewarding His, “servants the prophets and Your saints,” God will judge any that wielded their intellectual power or political power to gain earthly goods at the expense of His servants.  The prophets that trumpeted His truths and the saints that heeded the Words of God will be rewarded. He does not abide those that covet, steal, lie and cheat and bear false witness.

When God said, “for destroying those who destroy the earth,” He spoke in literal terms and for moments ceased using the symbolic we have grown accustomed to in the Book.

We now return to symbolic term as He divulges that, “God’s Temple was opened,” as this signifies God’s Commandments as being His Word and His laws to live by. 1 Kings 8:9. Upon the opening of His “ark of the covenant,” the Day of Judgment begins. Revelation 15:5.

Is it time for all men to stop their greedy ways, their covetous ways, their outright greed and self enrichment? The answer is YES. Will it stop? The answer is NO. It will not stop until God stops it and for one, I pray that time is soon. I pray that my children and grandchildren do not have to suffer under the people that not only do not live by God’s Word but deny that it even exists.

In the course of learning of the 7 trumpets we learned of the ‘woes’ visited on men. Those ‘woes’ were visited on men that built on earth, (man made religions) and did not build their churches on the Rock, (Jesus Christ).

God’s Temple is His Word. His Word is our Bible. In order to gain Paradise we must live our lives in accordance with the Bible, which I repeat, is God’s Word.

(Closing prayer)

Lord, Father of us all, please accept our praise and our heart felt worship. You are our God and there is no other. In these times we ask that You send Your angels to watch over us and protect us from those that would do us harm.

We ask that You empower men of Godly virtue to overcome those that would seek power to subject us to their whims and their lustful needs. Direct our hearts to be able to discern those that are not of You. Grant us the words to speak out in Your behalf as we sow the seed, Your Holy Word, to lead souls to You.

Father, protect us, our families, our Christian brothers and sisters and lead us through the storms that lie ahead. Strengthen our resolve and steel us against the arrows of the enemy. Allow us to keep You in our hearts as we battle the wiles of those lead by Your enemies.

Lord, we ask that you continue protecting our military, our elected officials that have You in their hearts, our judges, police, security personnel and those seeking You in their lives. We ask these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who is One with You and the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever,

Amen, amen and amen.
