Supreme Court rejects convicted murderer's appeal for sex-change surgery

A nearly two-decade legal fight by a convicted murderer in Massachusetts to get taxpayer-funded sex-reassignment surgery ended in failure Monday when the U.S. Supreme Court rejected "her" final appeal.
 

Race, Politics and Lies

Among the many painful ironies in the current racial turmoil is that communities scattered across the country were disrupted by riots and looting because of the demonstrable lie that Michael Brown was shot in the back by a white policeman in Missouri -- but there was not nearly as much turmoil created by the demonstrable fact that a fleeing black man was shot dead by a white policeman in South Carolina.
 

Clinton to call for 'full and equal path to citizenship'

Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Rodham Clinton intends to draw an early distinction with U.S. Republicans on immigration reform, pointing to a pathway to citizenship as an essential part of any overhaul in Congress.
