Friends,
I have to say that I
am so impressed with our Republican
Assembly Caucus. Immediately after the election, our entire caucus met in
Carson City to begin training and working on our legislative agenda.
I am excited to
welcome Erv Nelson, John Moore, David
Gardner, Shelly Shelton, Chris Edwards, Derek Armstrong, Stephen
Silberkraus,
Jill Dickman, Victoria Seaman, Brent Jones, Robin Titus, PK O’Neill
and Vicki
Dooling, our new freshman legislators, to the team.

I am honored to have
been selected by my peers to lead the
Assembly Committee on Taxation. Our purpose will be to
work with Governor Brian Sandoval and our counterparts in the Senate to
review
Nevada’s tax system and identify ways to better serve the people of
Nevada. As the chairwoman, I will always make sure the voices of Nevadans
and Nevada business owners are heard.
We have a great year
ahead of us, and I can’t wait to share
more details as we finish our legislative agenda. Our next deadline for
submitting BDRs (Bill Draft Requests) is December 10th, so I will have an
update for you soon. I will give you a sneak peak that education will be a
top priority of our caucus, including school choice and school vouchers to
give parents and students more options for an education that meets their
needs.
As always, if you
have ideas
or questions about legislation, please let me know. Some of the greatest
bills
I have put forward have come from our neighbors.
I’ll be in
touch soon.
Yours truly,
