MUTH’S TRUTHS
--> A new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll shows that 2/3’s
Americans support military action against the Muslim terrorist organization in
Iraq known as ISIS. This after two American
journalists were beheaded by ISIS barbarians in recent weeks. POTUS will tell the nation what he plans to
do tomorrow.
--> Don’t get me wrong on this Tesla deal. I’m all for Tesla not having to pay any taxes
for the next 10 years, combined with lower government-subsidized electric rates. I just think the rest of us should get the
same deal!
--> Heard it through the grapevine: Word on the street in Carson
City is that Democrats are going to try to hijack the Tesla deal and insist
that the project be built with a cost-inflating union “project labor agreement”
in place.
Hard to believe Tesla would
accept such a condition. After all, they
can still move the project somewhere else.
So this Dem saber-rattling is much ado about nothing.
--> When she announced her campaign for Nevada’s 3rd
Congressional District, Democrat Erin
Bilbray-Kohn dropped her husband’s “Kohn” in campaign communications. Interestingly, a check of the Clark County
voter registration rolls shows that her husband, by contrast, has added his
wife’s last name to his last name.
So we have Erin Bilbray and Noah
Bilbray-Kohn. How cute.
--> Speaking of Bilbray-Kohn-without-the-Kohn, her adorable
daughter in the candidate’s new touchy-feely TV ad says that “Mom says it
shouldn’t matter what party you belong to.”
So I guess we’ll no longer hear the Democrat criticize her Republican
opponent, Rep. Joe Heck, for being a
Republican, right? Yeah, right.
--> Republican candidate for state Assembly, Steven Silberkraus, has had his hand
slapped by the Secretary of State’s office for violating Nevada campaign law. Mailers in his GOP primary race in June
listed simply “Friends of Stephen” for the disclosure.
“This is not a full name,” wrote Elections Division Officer Shelly Capurro in a determination
letter dated August 28, 2014, “and could in fact be an organization or an
independent expenditure, and not a candidate.”
While no penalty was imposed on Silberkraus for breaking the law,
Capurro warned the candidate to “include your full name in your disclosure” in
the future.
FAMOUS LAST WORDS
“The over militarization of police force has gotten out of
control & we've allowed it to threaten our civil liberties.” – Sen.
Rand Paul (R-KY)
"The reach of Nevada’s charter schools has stretched to

year, according to the Nevada State Public Charter School Authority.” – Las Vegas
