Obama Flies Illegal Teens to Iowa. The Iowa Governor Flies Them Back TO Honduras.
Obama Flies Illegal Teens to Iowa. The Iowa Governor Flies Them Back TO Honduras.
Governor Bransted of Iowa had announced: "Iowa will not take any illegal children." Yesterday
Obama overruled him and sent Iowa 124 teens, aged13-19. When the plane
landed in Des Moines, the airport manager called the office of the
Governor. The Governor drove to the airport and chartered a United
Airlines plane from Chicago. Within 8 hours all the teens were fed and
loaded on that plane. The plane left Iowa at 8 o'clock
Des Moines time. Its next stop was Honduras. The plane landed and was
unloaded. Four Social Workers from Iowa made sure the teens got safely
to the terminal, and the Social Workers told the Honduran officials,
"Here are your teens, they have no papers, and you let them come
illegally to America. We refuse to take them. Iowa has its own laws.
Minors from outside our country not accompanied by adults may not enter
our state."
Iowa has not heard one thing from Washington.

I realize most of the email below is true. We know that the gov did
indeed push back against Obama in a statement. However, unfortunately,
the link in that email does not take the reader to that story. On the other
hand, yesterday, I received this from someone and the link in that email
--identical to this one -- did go to the story on line, which seemed in
order and plausible. Conspicuously missing in the online story was this
dubious embellishment:
The plane landed and was unloaded. Four Social Workers from Iowa made sure the teens got safely to the terminal, and the Social Workers told the Honduran officials, "Here are your teens, they have no papers, and you let them come illegally to America. We refuse to take them. Iowa has its own laws. Minors from outside our country not accompanied by adults may not enter our state."
This is highly fishy. 4 reasons come to mind:
1--Since when do airport terminals in the US have Honduran officials
assigned to them and for what purpose? Since the illegals were shipped by and at
the initiative of Obama, the officials would not have any reason to be there,
nor would they dare show their faces. Assuming the social workers were
supposed to have notified the officials by phone, then what officials? No
official in Honduras would admit to being involved in this. The official
narrative is that the 'children' left their home countries on their own and
incognito.
2--We are told that these teens are undocumented. No airline company is
authorized to send unaccompanied and undocumented youngsters anywhere without
the presence of their parents or guardians or a notarized letter from the
parents or guardians, esp not out of the country. When I wanted to take my
own son to Panama with us, I had to get a notarized letter from his
mom. Otherwise, they would not let us on the plane. That scenario was repeated
each time we took him.
3--Since they are unaccomplanied minors, each one would, under
international and US law, have to have a specific destination in
Honduras. The Obama administration would be certain to keep that information
away from all state and other authorities, if they had it, and they probably
didn't.
4--Social workers are trained to help children, not expose them to danger
by putting them on a plane without knowing their final destination. If indeed
they were ordered to do this, some or all of these social
workers would certainly have sued the state for child abuse.
5--I did not find this story verified in any reputable sites.
My sincere conviction is that this is fake. I could be wrong and will be
checking reputable news sources for verification. Kindly let me know if you find
anything.
After writing this, I checked again just now and found
this:
Now, you may do one last thing: Call Governor Bransted's office yourself
and ask.
If you are told it is a rumor, which I am sure you will, then make a note
of all the web sites that reported this rumor as true and act accordingly. If
anyone sends you a link to a story on one of those sites, you will not want to
forward it without first verifying. Better still, you may want to avoid these
sites.
If you happen to find the person who made this up and can verify his or her
identity or web site as the culprit, let me know and I will broadcast their
name so we can keep that person at arms lengt from now on.
The liberal media and pols have the reputation of being liars. The last
thing we need to is to join them in that despicable -- and very stupid
-- kind of behavior and thereby acquire the same sleazy reputation. We are
the watchmen of our age. We are here to help others understand what evils lie
around us and warn them. We are a kind of overseer, watching over the
information content of news that goes to other Americans.
Here is what the Bible says about overseers:
I Timothy 3:2The overseer then must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, an able teacher,...
No
one who manufactures stories, even in the misguided belief that such stories
will somehow help our cause, is above reproach, quite the opposite. Nor am I
above reproach because I make mistakes unwares, and even have inadvertently
forwarded stories which turned out to be hoaxes. But if we spread lies
knowing or suspecting they are lies, we don't deserve the
title of watchmen or overseers and we don't deserve to have anyone read what we
forward. We are deserving of reproach.
Thank you.
