D.C.: Two Afghan Muslims training with DEA vanish during Georgetown visit

Two Afghan nationals training with the Drug Enforcement Agency disappeared while visiting Georgetown over the weekend, and authorities still do not know their whereabouts.

The two men were police officers with Afghanistan Ministry of Interior Affairs, described by law enforcement officials as the equivalent of the DEA in the United States. The group had been training at the Quantico Marine Corps Base for about a month to combat drug trafficking. They graduated Thursday and are scheduled to leave the country Friday.
On Saturday evening, 31 members of the group, accompanied by DEA special agents, visited Georgetown where they ate at a restaurant and did a little sight-seeing, according to a law enforcement official familiar with the investigation.
The group then met at the Washington Harbor to hop on a tour boat to Alexandria, but two of the men – 22-year-old Mohammad Yasin Ataye and 24-year-old Mohd Naweed Samimi — were missing.
Ataye and Samimi were not carrying their visas, authorities said. They were here on A-2 visas, a step down from a diplomat, and approved to stay in the U.S. during the duration of the training program, authorities said.
DEA spokesman Rusty Payne did not return repeated calls this week for comment, but on Thursday told CBS News that the men may be headed to Buffalo, N.Y., and are being aided by a female operating an unknown rental car.
Buffalo is a known haven for jihadists and sharia supporters.
These are two individuals who pose no threat or danger. Most likely, they are just seeking a better life in the U.S.,” Payne said.
The disappearance was first reported by WJLA.
Ataye is described as 6-feet-tall, 160 pounds.
Samimi was described as being 5-feet-4, and 15o pounds.
One of the men was wearing a red button up dress shirt and dark blue jeans, and the other, a light blue button shirt and dark blue jeans.
It sounds like Rusty Payne might be the threat. Afghan cops and military or those posing as them have killed many American soldiers.
A better life for them will mean a worse life for the rest of us as two more illegals are allowed to infiltrate America.
